I currently have State Farm now and I have a new Mercedes AMG C43 as my daily driver (6 cylinder TT and awd). I pay $1188 a year for that. I didn't think the Z06 would be that much higher.

No points, accidents, or claims. I am the only driver on policy.

Any other folks have similar experience, either in NJ or another high cost state like NY, California, CT, etc.

I had an 08 LS3 Corvette from 2010-2013 and paid $987 a year on that.......
$1937 a year for both or just the C7Z? If it's the latter, that is insane..

28 and single here. C7Z, C6Z, and 08 Duramax. About $2400/yr for all 3.

Default z06 ins comparison

I was with Geico for 3 years. Have a mercedes, Nissan Maxima and Z06. Was paying $3400. No tickets, or points or accidents.
Then just got a quote from Safeco (Liberty Mutual). I just Switched to them for $2500 all 3 cars. Saved $900.00

Good ole peach state, that's why lol.

That was 1937 for just the z06, that wasnt the c43.

My property taxes are also 18K a year.... so I don;t even want to know what yours are. Between both taxes I could have a ferrari, mclaren and a z06........

Jeez. That's crazy. Hopefully I don't move to a state with crazy rates like that. I'm in the military, so I don't pay the use tax on my vehicles.

It stinks for sure. Getting out of here in less than 8 years now and moving to Florida, and will rent my properties up here and come up in the summer for some weeks. Screw the pricing up here.

If you qualify check USAA.

USAA is also who I use by the way. They aren't typically the BEST at pricing, but they have really good customer service and you can put vehicles on storage insurance which is nice if you're going out of town for more than 2 weeks.

If you qualify (old folks) check with AARP. They go through Hartford. I got mine with low mileage for $493 a year, yes a year! Keep in mind that I also have other vehicles and my homeowners with them too. It's worth checking out.

Collectors insurance in unusable for most people. You cannot even legally drive it to the store on a nice day with most "collector" policies.

Just switched from a 2012 CTS-V coupe to a 2016 Z06 Callaway and mine went down $200 a year. I do pay $190 a month for 3 cars / 3 drivers though. StateFarm.

I'm in PA but used to high rates being a former resident of NJ.
I checked NCM, they want $500 more than State farm for the following limits:

Bodily Injury Liability: $250,000/$500,000
Uninsured Motorists: $100,000/$300,000
Under-insured Motorists: $100,000/$300,000
Collision Ded $500
Comp Ded $0

These are the biggest factors as far as cost, SF does give multi car discounts and multi policy discounts for life and personal umbrella policy.

I pay $1,800 a year for the Z06

EDIT:

Just checked Amica, also higher.

"For those looking at the OP's rates, realize insurance in NJ is much more than many other places in the country. Mine went down significantly when I left and move to a still very high-cost area of the country." z28lt1

Having lived in both places, NJ and N.VA, I can agree that OP's costs may be much higher than most parts of country. Proof? His '08 cost is about double what mine is, and has been in N.VA.

Same for me as well. But it does vary a bit based on the miles per year you drive. Living in the PNW and have a work truck I'm lucky to get 3500-4K a year.

If you are eligible for USAA, I would leave Geico in a hot minute. USAA is amazing.

Amica should charge you a reasonable amount.

State Farm is out of their minds in what they charge..

I'm in New Jersey so I hope my insight helps you.

Check out AMICA!!!! Six years ago when I bought my ZR1, Allstate went ballistic with the annual premium on it even after being a 40+ year customer. Switched to AMICA and saw the ZR1 premium go down by >2/3's!! Saved gobs on the other cars, homeowners and umbrella policies as well compared to Allstate.

I'm in the suburbs of Phila and my insurance agent found the lowest cost insurance for me was with "Travelers". I dropped GEICO that I had for over 40 years and my cost dropped by 2/3rds and I got more coverage. It costs nothing to get a quote.

Not true....I have my 2013 & 2014 corvettes listed with my 1969 corvette and my 1964 Biscayne under collectors car status. Just have to get an appraisal for each one and no limits on mileage but garaged. Drive them anywhere. I'm in east tn. Have 6 cars insured. Two daily drivers 06 HHR & 2000 Suburban pay $2684 a year for all of them. Value on the 69 40k. Biscayne 30k.
Join a corvette club and tell them it used for events and shows etc.
I realize I'm not in NJ (thankfully) but I would definitely think collector car insurance would be an option there also to check into.
