Just hit 30k miles! 2016 Z51 A8; Delivery date 01/02/2016. This is my third c7; (Z51,Z06,Z51) I just installed Michelin AS3+ ZP; (originals still had at least 10k left on them!) I never had a problem in cold weather; under 45 degrees I would drive exclusively in weather mode; no problem!
Anyone that is preserving and not driving it daily is missing out on how great these cars truly are.
These cars will never be collectible in our lifetime; the last time GM produced 41k corvettes was in 1979; look at their values today! ENJOY!
yeah. But it's not fun here in the freezing rain and salt all over te place. You keep the car and the underside gets destroyed. Not to mention the pot holes from the big plows omg.
northeast corvette ownership is a different experience lol
I live in the midwest, but if the street is clean and dry (it will be next week) I am going riding! That is why I bought it, is fun to look at in my garage though.
Thanks to the OP for the encouragement, but here in MN we have just SO MUCH salt on the roads . . . This is going to be my first salt-free car ever. (Assuming I keep my resolve . . .)

Totally agree, my Ranger falls in the pot holes we have here! See ya in the spring!
From: HOPE is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Winter is a whole different story. It has been 5 to -20F here with several feet of man made global warming on the ground. F As in F winter. Vettes are sleeping until April(ish). Then daily driven all spring, summer and fall. Rain or shine.
I just replaced my front OEM's with Michelin AS3+ ZP on my base 15. That strange noise went away that I hear in the mornings backing out of the driveway when the tires are cold, like the car slides. Next fix is going to be the noisy brake squeal. At 30,000 miles I hear the noise more in the mornings than when the 15 was new.
I don't care what vehicle is driven in the winter, where I live, it will be full of salt both inside and out. Just getting in the car in a parking lot fills the inside with salt from your feet. One drive down the highway with a tractor trailer in front of you gives the vehicle a salt bath like no other. Even if you only drive when the roads are dry, if the sun is out the salt is melting the snow along the roads and it still can't be avoided. The only alternative for the mess is to wait until spring and after a few rain storms to get the car out. No need to make life more difficult by deliberately trying to douse the car in a salt bath.
Then there is black ice, drivers with bald tires, and those still using their cruise control on the snow and ice. I'm not into using a nice vehicle in these conditions. I'll wait to drive it. Life is so much easier.
My hat off to you!!! I don't have the miles you do but I wish I did. Am retiring in July so maybe I can catch up. Believe it or not, some of us went on a 5000 mile road trip last summer. One of our group has a 16 Z51 convert and a 16 Z06. He actually bought a used 08 with more than 100k on the clock to drive on the trip so he wouldn't put miles on his 16s!!!!!!!!!!!!! So our caravan had 6 C7s and one C6. Too bad.
Good for you 9175!! I have put over 11K on my 2015 Z-51 Vertt in the past year. That more miles than the last 3 Vettes put together. 2 road trips at ~ 3K each. Your correct IMO these aren't going to grow in value in our life time. Been looking for a 16 Z-06, but may keep this one for a little longer. ENJOY life's to short.

Very True! Life is to short to let these cars sit in the garage and BARELY take them out on the weekends... I know I didnt spend the kind of money I spent to look at the damn car...I bought it for the driving pleasure, to rip on it whenever I want and know its not going to break! Thats what the Corvette is about! Not to keep it locked up which would probably do worse damage than good to be honest....well depending on how long you left it for...
