i agree. Before my M7Z I had a couple other manual trans muscle cars and honestly I don't feel like I've lost any enjoyment. This is a general question, if the Corvette was AWD would it offset the acceleration advantage for the automatic?

I can't help but wonder about how many owners actually experience (perceive) the minute difference in acceleration with the automatic vs. the manual. I'm guessing that it's a very small number.

Your right, it is small and I can barely feel a difference. The big difference is the auto puts the power down much more efficiently from a standstill or very low speeds. When I had my M7 and tested PDR I had a very hard time hitting 3.4-3.5 consistently. In the A8 I almost never get anything less then 3.4-3.5. Minimal differences.

They should be options at least. They are safety features and invaluable for the congested roads of the NYC metropolitan area. If a purist doesn't want to use those features, fine.

My opinion is that there won't be any significant changes outside of what we hope is a better quality paint job from the new paint shop.

With the Grand Sport costing just $3205 more than the Stingray Z51 with MSRC...I am wondering if Z51 will be dropped in the Stingray. The FE2 option with Mag Ride, Z51 Wheels and Tires and spoiler would still be available but maybe with the Z51 front and rear sway bars added. Call it a Sport Performance Pkg.

You all forgot about the new wheels. They usually bring in a new design wheel or two as well as new colors.

How many ZL1s were put in 1969 Camaros and how many in Corvettes? BTW, I know the answer

Because nobody uses their turn signals so its just a wasted portion

I don't think we will see any changes in the base stingray and the GS. Still uses the LT1.

But I do believe we will see the new front fascia on the Z06 and different rear spoiler/wing depending on Z06 aero package selected(what we have been seeing in camo for the past 6 months). No so called ZR1 model but a revised Z06(and still labeled as a Z06).

I don't see anymore horsepower for the Z06(still uses the LT4), but I'm on the fence on whether a DCT will be available for the Z06/Z07.

I use mine all the time. I turn on the left turn signal and drive several miles with it on.

When I was a kid, we had muscle cars, but we didn't know they were muscle cars as no one called them muscle cars. On the street and on the drag strip, the Corvette was generally the faster car until 1959, 1960, and 1961 when the full size Chevrolet's were fast. For every 50 1959 Impalas with either the 315 HP or the 335 HP 348 or the 1960 Impala with the 350 HP 348, I might see one 290 HP FI Corvette. Most of the high performance Corvettes I remember seeing were the 270 HP dual four versions as the FI engines were a very expensive option.

1957 Corvette top HP was 283 HP
1957 Chevrolet(muscle car???) top HP was 283 HP

1958 Corvette top HP was 290 HP
1958 Chevrolet(muscle car???) top HP was 290 HP.

1959 Corvette top HP was 290 HP.
1959 Chevrolet(muscle car???) top HP was 335 HP.

1960 Corvette top HP was 290 HP
1960 Chevrolet(muscle car???) top HP was 350 HP

1961 Corvette top HP was 315 HP
1961 Chevrolet top HP was 360 HP

1962 Corvette top HP was 360 HP
1962 Chevrolet(muscle car???) top HP was 425 HP.

1963 Corvette top HP was 360 HP
1963 Chevrolet(muscle car) top HP was 425 HP. the Z11 was rated 425 but was much higher)

1964 Corvette top HP was 375 HP
1964 Chevrolet(muscle car) top HP was 425 HP.

!965 Corvette top HP was 425 HP
1965 Chevrolet(muscle car???))top HP was 425 HP
1965 Chevelle(muscle car???) Z16 top HP was 375 HP

1966 Corvette top HP was 425 HP
1966 Chevrolet(muscle car???) top HP 425 HP
1966 Chevelle(muscle car???) top HP was 375 HP(same identical engine as the 1965 Corvette 425 HP)

Wasn't until the 1967 Corvette with 435 HP and the ultra rare L88 was the Corvette's HP higher than what was available in the full size Chevrolet(muscle car???), the Chevelle, or the Camaro.

The big difference in late 1957 and 1958 was the availability of the B-W 4 speed transmission in the Corvette whereas the full size Chevrolet only had a 3 speed on the column until 1959.

And I really wish they would. I got involved in an accident that could've been avoided if a signal was used. Worst case scenario, the accident would have minimal damage and not totaled my previous vehicle

Huge pet peeve of mine on the road. The driver knows that they're turning, but never considers the others around them and subsequent reactions.
