What Corvette to get if I usually only keep cars for 2 years.

I know I want one with at least 2LT....I do also know for sure that i will NOT be tracking the car at all. so would I need the z51? I also for sure want a M7 coupe.
Is there any reason to stay away from a 14 or 15?

My vote:
A used one so OP avoids first year depreciation expense.
LT1 vs LT3 if buying new seems to have least depn upon trade in.
Possible leasing.
Good luck in your decision.

Go with used since you only want to keep the car 2 years
But if you absolutely want new, start by selecting options you absolutely can't live without. For example - Performance Exhaust and Painted Calipers were absolute musts for me and for many.
$60k new will probably limit you to 1LT and a few can't live without options. Perhaps a 2LT with limited options.

Used GS? They have only been out since August I'm sure the are a few used ones out there but I would think it would be slim pickings!
I'm all for buying used in fact most of my sports cars have been used but this time I knew I wanted a Grand Sport so I went new to get what I wanted I hope to keep this car for a long time but I never do.

True, there are no used Grand Sports for sale at all in Toronto, so I imagine when someone does post one for sale it won't be at a bargain price either. Same goes with the Z up here, anyone selling used ones is pricing them higher than new ones because they know they'll get snapped up by someone who doesn't want to wait 2-3 months for a factory order (dealers up here don't often buy Z06s for stock)

The problem buying used is that sellers of C7s that bought them 2 years ago did not have the discounts available today and are less apt to take that in consideration when pricing their 2 yr. old car for sale.
Best way to go dollar wise is a 2LT if you plan on selling in 2 yrs or so.

I wouldn't buy any C7s right now, they are over-valued due to the inability for anyone who isn't on the list to get a C8. No Corvette is going to hold it's value if you buy now, you're going to see a drop of $7-10k in 2 years. There will be C8s all over dealer lots within two years and there should be a Z06 available by then so the C7 prices will fall more inline with normal depreciation by then imho. Leasing may be a better option for you if you keep the car just 2 years but you won't get a C8 on a lease right now unless you've got your order in, they just stopped taking 2021 orders.
If you want something that will hold it's value you need to look at a 991.1 or .2 911 GTS. The 2010-2011 cars are in that $60k range depending on mileage and they likely won't depreciate much, if at all, from there if you have a manual with the right options.

I think the OP may have already figured this one out since the thread is four years old.
