I took my 2014 into the GM dealership for a air bag recall. Now knowing it’s just a computer update. They had my car for over a week, when they called to tell me it was finished they also told me my bill was $1500. I questioned why I even had a bill when it was warranty. They proceeded to tell me, they “fixed” a rock chip out of the goodness of their heart and that was my bill. First of all, I didn’t sign for ANY paint work, I wasn’t called before they fixed this rock chip....Something didn’t sit right, so I went down to look at my car. It was in pieces! Now the story was, when they fixed the rock chip they didn’t have matching paint. It was a 15% color difference, so they painted HALF my car this other color so I wouldn’t “really” notice. It gets better! They over sprayed into the interior (not even a little bit, so much to the point there were run marks on my brown suede interior)... so this battle goes on for a year, GM Canada, and lawyers had to get involved. I gave them 5 chances to fix this. Each time things progressively got worse and worse. The fifth and final attempt was a complete paint job. After picking up my car, I drove it home. Half way home pieces were flying off my corvette! Now it had been taken apart and put together 5 times. Rubbers were stretched, clips were broken.. it was bad. I picked my pieces of my corvette up off the road, drove back down to the dealership. Rest is history! They pretty much said, pick what one you want and we will replace yours. 🤷*♀️ I made out on top in the end.

GT Spirit 1:18 scale GSCE model came today. Here's some pictures of it next to the Maisto 1:24 scale.
The Maisto has some issues, LT4 under the hood, clearly a Z06 model that has been updated, but they did a pretty reasonable job.
The GT Spirit is nice, pretty heavy. The wheels didn't turn initially but with a little effort they do. It is a numbered, release, 1,500 made. Would have been cool to get #43 like my car, but wasn't expecting that :-)
The doors and hood DO NOT open. I was a little disappointed in that, with a larger scale model I would think they would operate. But it is heavy, seems to have a lot more of the detail right....
I ordered in early October, received it today....and I should have dusted them off a little before taking the pics :-) The GT Spirit one has some styrofoam remnants on it.

I'm seeing very few with comp seats and M7's as you say. This may give you a few other options to look at :-) I have a very small finders fee
#403 @ Valenti in Mystic CT. $97,380 MSRP asking $86,654. Visible CF roof and GFX and a few other things.
#164 @ Mac Haik in Houston TX. $98,365 MSRP, asking $84,014. Carbon Flash GFX
#252 @ George Matick in Redford MI. $90,275 MSRP, asking $80,523. No other options besides the comp seats.

BTW, does anyone know if the tension blue competition seats sold by Trunk Monkey have the collectors edition headrest design? I don't want to replace my regular seats with competition seats that don't have the headrest design, kind of takes away from the collectors edition. I have a feeling it will just be a plain headrest.

DD or not, it's still a CE in my book. Any way you slice it, it's a bad *** car.

I am taking delivery of my CE in about 2 weeks. How much would u guys pay to have a door sill vinyl made that matches the tension blue? Much like the fender badge from corvettemods but for door sills. My buddy runs a vinyl business and was going to take the car over for him to do test fitting and make the vinyl. For the right price he could make them in mass.

I'd say that under $40, I'd be in for a set, as long as a perfect match to the Tension Blue fender vinyl. I know the corvettemods overlays come with the full overlay to cover both the "GRAND" and "SPORT" lines. Personally, I only want to cover the bottom "SPORT" line that is currently red.
