What was the outcome? Do you have the tire & wheel warranty?

Default New CE Owner

Tagging along on this thread to add to all the updates--recently purchased a used CE from a private party just outside St. Louis, Mo. Bought #579 for $64.5k, A8 with roughly 7k miles. He put the full Xpel on it, beyond excited to get it (getting shipped in a covered transport of course). We are located in Las Vegas, Nevada, so hope to see some fellow CE owners around the SW area. More to come (including pics) once she gets here!

Default Just bought a GS Collector's Edition

After a year or so of looking for a used C7, I chose the GS Collector's Edition. The GS seems to be the right car for my intended used and my driving skill levels. It will be replacing a C5 Z06 I used for track days at various courses in California. After attending the Bondurant School I decided to try Ron Fellows three day Corvette classes at Spring Mountain Park in Nevada. While there, I not only got to drive the latest Corvette at speed but, also was able to check the way the school used and maintained the school's cars. With that knowledge, I took a chance and purchased #876, a former class instruction car. I have skills in auto mechanics (spent many hours fixing my modified C5) so I hope I can fill in with some of the warranty exclusions from GM. It has most options including the Z07 package and a manual gearbox so, this is just what I want!

#876
Purchased from DC Motors in Anaheim CA
$57,900
Full maintenance records from the track's shop
Pilot Cup 2 tires and CF brake rotors and pads replaced.
Some road rash as expected on a track car
No issues noted after 10,000 miles of use

Taking delivery. My old C5 is in the background.

Thank you for sharing the details on this purchase! I've been really wondering how much they sell those cars for, I've seen it first hand (like you) as to how well they maintain those cars. I don't think I'd have much of an issue buying one if the body was in good enough shape. Seeing the discount you paid on that car (39.2% under MSRP), that is by far the steepest discount I've seen on any used transaction to date. There was one in the 35% range, but most are in the average is in the 20% range. So a fantastic deal for a well appointed car. Nice work.

BTW, where is the car located now so I can update the registry?

Default Just bought ours! #498

My husband and I just bought #498. We are new to the forum and are not sure we are posting this in the correct place! We bought the car in Costa Mesa from Connell Chevrolet. They had bought the car (to avoid taxes? to get more corvettes?) themselves so it was sold as "used" with 66 miles on it. We can't wait to drive it!

#511, #876, and #498 - Congrats - all from So. Cal.
Check out the So. Cal forum and join us on the weekend runs. There are two groups one from OC and one from Ventura that I join them when time permits.

$70,000 out the door (incl 7.25% taxes, registration and fees). MSRP was (about - don’t have paperwork in front of me) $85,700. Has Auto Trans, Visible Carbon Fiber Roof Panel, a few mats. They have to smog check it because it’s been sold once. Brand new looking, all wrapped in plastic.

Damn, I guess my brand new price of $68K in November of last year was an amazing deal when I am seeing used ones go for $60K-$70K. Sticker on mine was $84K.

Yes you got a great price! They are generally taking $20,000 to $22,000 off the MSRP (including the $4,000 incentive from Chevy) at this point. But it’s almost a year later. There are also getting to be fewer of them. For us, there were still 4 new GSCE within 150 miles of our house.

Default Tension Blue Door Sill/Fender Upgrade

Finally got around to installing the vinyl overlays in the door sills and on the fenders of #555. I love the way they look and were easy to install.

The car is garaged in Carlsbad CA.
I just drove it home from Anaheim today. I studied the maintenance cards from Spring Mountain and they were very diligent on the inspections and all "severe duty" fluid changes. The E-dif fluid was changed every 800 miles, engine oil every 2000. They took it off student car duty and made it the instructor lead/follow car about half way through it's service. It appears they mounted all season Pilot Sports and stashed the Cup 2s for remounting when retired. They also changed the brake pads and installed new front CF rotors before sale.
So far, I and happy with my purchase. I will be sure to post on this forum on any ownership updates.
