Good..... I don't think I am going to sign up for Sirius after the trial, I listen to my own music on my IPOD & USB drive. Thanks for replying to both of you
I hear ya I can't stand paying for it
but over the last 3 years I always put in the cal when my promo is up
i call and cancel that day and they always offer me 5 months for $20
if they don't within 1 week I get a letter with the same offer

Traffic updates and weather are supplied by Sirius, however. Along with gas prices and theatre times.
Is that where those severe storm warnings that come up on the radio display come from? I am pretty sure the Nav radio doesn't have a weather radio receiver built into it.
No- I think that info is part of the factory GPS system's database.
Absolutely correct. Here's the details on the "Map" updates:
Last year alone, 569,847 miles of road were updated in the U.S.—and that's only the beginning. Here are a few other notable changes to the navigation system map:
13,195 gas stations added
22,392 restaurants added
10,591 auto service shops added
3,948,564 street names and addresses added
3,503,237 street names and addresses updated 47,973 speed limit indications added

If you take advantage of the "FREE" trial period for Sirius, DO NOT provide them your credit card number to have on file. I've had difficulty trying to cancel the subscription once they had my credit card number. Very frustrating.
