Yes, I know it's different, but having had both a C6 Z51 and C6 Z06, I know I really can't use it and remain a responsible citizen, unless I have the luxury of becoming a track rat. My career and family haven't allowed that.
Sorry, but 650 on the street is just plain silly. Hell, the C7R is under 500 in GTLM competition.

That's my problem... LOL
And I agree....GTLM only has 500...650 is stupid crazy and it's my limit, I don't need anymore. Still will never get why people do it up even more. ego? LOL
Aw hell, just wait till the ZR-1 or whatever that thing is with the wing on the back comes out, then our 650 or 465 will be like snowflakes compared to it
I have tried keeping a container of lemons in the car to address the "continuing smile" problem, but they keep breaking through!
Never fails to amaze me!!!
My C5 had a built LS3 416 stroker making 525 rwhp, so north of 600 bhp. It had a medium-lift cam and at idle the car was like being on one of those massage beds that vibrate. At 4000 rpm all hell broke loose and it pulled like a race car.
The LT1 in my GS is more sedate. I like how flat the power band is. There is useful power just about everywhere. It's no slouch in acceleration, but no match from 40-100 like the C5. Where I expect to see improvement at the track is overall ease of driving, handling, and higher exit speeds from the corners. I was never great at heel-and-toe, so the rev-match will really help.
At my last track event in the C5 there were a handful of Z51s there, and try as I might, I could not run away from them. I would pull 15-20 lengths on the straight and slowly lose it the rest of the way round until my mirror was full of C7 again at the top of the staight and we'd do it all over. I was working my **** off and those guys didn't even look like they were breathing hard.
