Default Is it time?

Hi there, probably like a lot of you I have been lurking and dreaming of owning. I love the GS and thinking of pulling the trigger. My question is, will the GS likely be made in 2018 or it it a 1 year deal? I have a fun car to drive for a year already, then it will be my sons car (if he behaves), so a second one not really "needed" but wanted if it's time for a C7.

Appreciated!

GS was the trigger pull for me this January.... prices are simply too good... 15% off MSRP.

The GS is not a one off special edition model for '17. GM expects it to be the volume seller going forward for the rest of the C7 generation which will probably be a couple more years at least.

Will the GS be made for model year 2018? Almost certainly yes. Corvette is expanding its offerings, not eliminating them. The C7 will certainly still be the model sold in 2018 as the ME car is not ready for production and one of the worst kept secrets from Detroit is there will be a major upgrade to the top Corvette for ME 2018 (either an upgraded Z06 or a ZR1). If Corvette was going to drop a model, it would be the Z51 in 2017. They didn't. IMHO, if any model goes by the wayside, it will be the Z51. The GS is safe. IMHO, model year 2019 is very hazy. Will the ME car be available? Will it be a Corvette? Will the C7 be dropped on soldier on? All subjects covered in other threads.

Keep in mind ...
If your juiced by 15% off now. Just wait a few years and they soon will be 40 to 60% off. Just like the 14 and 15's are now.
Time goes fast and us owners are great at keeping them in perfect shape for the next owners.
My 14 was $27k off. Money doesn't matter to me, But I worked and saved too hard to waste money.

I can't see GM eliminating the GS for '18. Seems like it has been a hit seller so why get rid of it?

GS should be around a few years. I would buy now or wait and read this forum for the next 3 years with others while they wait for that perfect deal. lol

^^^ The base Stingray does virtually everything the GS does, a lot cheaper.
