Default C7 interior question

Hi all,

I'm based in the UK and looking to buy a C7. Theres only two available country-wide with the Z51 pack, one is Yellow+Black the other White+Red.

As they are over completely different sides of the country I've been checking out the pictures to get an idea of which one I like best.

What strikes me the most though is that the Yellow one has a carbon (effect?) dashboard, whereas the white one has what appears to be a really nasty looking plain plastic dash.

Are these different trim levels, and if so are there any other missing features I'd loose by going with the non-carbon interior?

Thanks

The carbon dash is an option. It has nothing to do with trim levels or other options. Find out if they are 1LT, 2LT or 3LT. Those are the trim levels.

The two cars MAY have different interiors, but you can't tell by the faux carbon fiber trim (or lack of it). The carbon fiber trim pieces are (about) a $1,000 option. Separately, the features available will be designated by 1LT (base trim), 2LT and 3LT. Have a look at the listings and/or ask the sellers which trim package the vehicles have. 2LT is the most popular and includes features like HUD, heated and cooled seats, and navigation (which is optional on 2LT).

Ah OK thanks. Is it an expensive option?

I'm trying to push myself towards the yellow one as I fancy something a bit different. But in order to justify the choice, I need as many 'pros' as possible not to just simply play it safe and get white.

2LT doesn't include navigation. That's 3LT.

Even if you opt for the carbon fiber dash, you will still have the nasty looking plain plastic console which may appear to be even more of an eyesore after having the carbon fiber dash.

The yellow has nav so we can assume 3LT then? I'll have to find out about the white one.

Unfortunately, no. It's standard on 3LT. It's an option on the other trim levels.

I do see what you mean. A lot of it is still the plain plastic even with the CF option. In some respects it looks worse than the materials used in my C6.

Maybe I should disregard the CF option as a positive, and just get the whole dash CF dipped or wrapped.

If interior materials are your "thing", maybe you should consider an Audi R8.....

Nope. You can get NAV/PDR as a stand-alone option. It's included with 3LT.

Hell no! I'd rather give my money to the poor than drive around in a krautmobile. R8's have nice engines but are boring as F to look at.

I'm more than used to Fisher Price interiors with my C6, but if I'm spending £55k on a Vette I want the interior to be as nice as it can be.

2LTs often include the Nav/PDR option anyway. You can't tell just from the trim level designation.

While that may be the case, my post was correcting someone who stated it was included in 2LT. I didn't want the OP to have incorrect information.

For sure.

I know the 'smart' money would be on an R8...especially as we can probably get them cheaper in the UK than you lot can in the USA. But I love being different, even if it is a compromise.

In the UK there are a total of 28 Corvette C6 Z51's! When I roll out, I get more looks and attention than the guy with the Lambo.

I see R8's 2-3 times a week, Lambo's once month and Porsche's several times a day. I've never seen another C6 on the road, and the C7 is rarer still!

I almost feel like its a public service, bringing some of the USA muscle to the UK for people to see.

What strikes me the most though is that the Yellow one has a carbon (effect?) dashboard, whereas the white one has what appears to be a really nasty looking plain plastic dash.

I guess about 90% of us here will have to survive with our nasty looking dash. It may not be all that glittery but far from nasty Imho.

Didn't mean to offend, but that centre console looks like it is from a Dacia compared to the rest of the interior which looks very nice and well trimmed.

That said, I've only seen it in photographs and not in flesh, so maybe I'm jumping the gun.

I have a 2LT with most of the 3LT options except the wrap around interior color. I don't have the CF dash either. It's up to individual taste and I just though it would be a distraction to me. I think it looks great without it. (My eye folks. )

My car is M7, but other than that, that IS my interior in #17!
