Pretty common for a color to have both an advertised "consumer name" as well as a different internal "factory name". Never heard the German Blue descriptor before......

VETJAZZ is correct. When a color has been or is currently being used on another GM vehicle, GM will change the announced name when using it as a Corvette color. On the build sheet, the original name for the color will be used. On my buyer's tour, the assembly line employees kept telling me how much they liked the color I chose (Admiral Blue). Of course, they referred to it as Opulent Blue, which is what is printed on the build sheets. Opulent Blue has been used by GM on Cadillacs for several years.

GM uses different names for the same paint code sometimes...
Imagine my surprise when I ordered touch-up paint for my 2016 Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic
and when it arrived the cans were marked "Orange U Tempted Metallic"!
