How can that not be a good deal?! I bought mine at 68k with stixker of 71k nearly same spec as yours. Are you bragging? I think so and it's so annoying.
To answer your questions:
1. The rest of the thread responses show a majority opinion that better deals can be had.
2. No, I am not bragging. I apologize if my question sounded bragging, and that it annoys you.
However, if and when I get my C7, I will definitely be back to brag, so buckle up!
Some people shop for the deal. Some people shop for the exact car optioned exactly how they want it. Somewhere in the middle is the perfect car buying experience.
Keep in mind the 14-15% off deals are only on cars they have sitting on the lot. At least that is my understanding. If you have a certain color combo or option you really want that is not popular good luck.
Z51's are very hard to find that have certain options. The big discount dealers have only a couple now but have loads of Grand Sports. They are basically pushing you to spend more money on the Grand Sport.
Correct, the 14% and 15% off are for cars sitting on their lot but its the same situation he is in. Only difference is that their car is a 2016 sitting even longer on their lot as suppose to the 2017. Since it is sitting for that long and now is a year old it should be discounted even deeper.
I just custom built a 2017 Z06 with 12% off and I know other forum members have custom built a 2017 Z51 at a higher percentage off. So he can order a car to his exact preference at 12% and higher off and get a 2017. So why settle for a year older Z51 that has been sitting on the lot for a very long time at the same or lower discount? At one point Kerbeck was even showing 15% off on Z51 that were still inbound, so didn't even make it to the lot yet.
Just letting the OP know there are much better deals out there on 2017 that he can custom build then settling for a leftover model and paying more.
I'm looking closely at a new 2016 coupe, 2LT, Z51, Manual, with data recorder, 2 tops, and magnetic ride. I qualify for the loyalty discount as a current Vette owner. Net of discounts, before tax/tags/title/freight/processing fee is just a hair under $62,000--MSRP was over 71,000.
It looks like a good deal, but I'm seeing some similar deals on 2017s. But this car is the right combo for me. Can you guys give me some advice here? Thanks in advance!

I received a 24% discount on my 2LT Z51 M7 a few days before Christmas. The car was on the dealers lot for over a year and they really wanted it gone.

Wow, great deal! I managed to get about 18.5% off. And it's the perfect car, so I'm very happy. Is that a Top Flight Reproductions front plate mount you have?

the extra
The front plate is the aero mount that comes with the car. I had to modify it slightly (needed holes drilled for the license plate) and then bend the license plate to match the mount contour.
To all: thank you so much for the responses--this is great advice, and exactly what I was looking for. It's the fact that it's a 2016 holdover that's bothering me on the price. I'll see if I can get them down on the price--and if not, I'll call my local forum dealer.
My local dealer in Chattanooga TN Mtn View Chevy has now a 16 Z51 TR 3LT msrp $75K reduced to $59K.
