Years ago, I visited a Mazda dealer to see if the new Miata changes included enough cockpit room for me. This was after waiting some time for the little beastie to be available. No, too small. Well, I kind of expected that, but dumped on the salesperson that M-cars should be just a tiny bit bigger. He told me that a MX6 would fit. Now, not only do sales folks not understand, the marketing folks have a blind spot too, which sends the engineering types off to design for what is defined to be the average buyer. And while the C7 Corvette fits, the C5 has more room than the C6, which is bigger than the C7. We have a bad trend here. You don't suppose that after waiting and waiting and waiting for the C8, it won't fit and the sales person will tell me to check out the Camaro? Pat

I agree with the OP. Not to put down the sales gal, but the last thing you want to hear after the car you wanted is gone is "have you thought about...?" And I'll freely admit it, once I see the car I want I am so emotionally attached that I don't dare pass it up for fear of losing it.
I don't do this with any other type purchase. So again, I feel your pain and hope something even better comes up!
