They also have those "shopping cart handle" style wings on several ricers too! Maybe this is a fad or there's a reason for it? We'll just have to wait and see.
Forget focusing on the wing, under the hood is what counts. This model should be the track monster Viper ACR competitor and the Z06 will/is the street beast.
I would guess "no", at least not with the GS bumper cover.
If the drawing is accurate (and there is no reason to think that it is), looks like the hood and nose cone have to be used together, due to the new creases on the front of the hood extending down to either side of the cross-flag emblem on the front bumper cover.
If that's the case, its too bad, because I know a lot of owners have been liking the enlarged ports in the front of the "ZR1" nose drawings, and were hoping it would be an easy mod to swap their existing front bumper cover for the new hotness. However, if the hood also needs to be changed, then it becomes really expensive.
The drawing also appears to show a shaker style cutout for the super charger/cover. Look closely.

Geez! Perhaps it's me, but that spoiler ??? What The ... ???
Thanks for the pic. Now I'm doubly sure I didn't waste any time waiting for that.
I like the hood, though.
The typical Corvette demographic will see a wing like that and say "Boy ya'll done made it look like them chai-neez cars!" *spits chew*
Hope that filters out a few buyers. More importantly, hope Chevy can hire someone who took an economics course in college to look after production volume...
There better be a thick set of calculations and test data showing why that spoiler is a good performance enhancement, cause it misses on styling queues. Very odd indeed. Pat
I wouldn't worry too much about the wing. The photos of the cars being tested show them testing a high/track wing version and a low/street wing version.
Then I think low street wing version will be more popular for the over 50 club!

Does that mean that GM could make the 'high wing' only available with new, plaid-pattern seats to appeal to the under-50 crowd -- could call it the "handlebar moustache spoiler" package?
Do not badmouth the wing.
Remember we started it along time ago, and there was nothing ricer about it.
And no it wasn't hard to get into the trunk at all.
