How many wash/wax their 'vettes without any of the fancy high-priced detailing products? How many care for it the same as the other cars in your fleet? (Beaters excluded, of course)

I use all the fancy detailing tools - lol - i admit -i'm OCD about it - Bought a pressure washer, foam canon, special Pink Washing Soap, Clay Bas,r Speed Clay, Blower, Bead Enhancer, Polymer Sealant, Carnuba Wax, Apllicators, Detail Spray, Waterless Wash, soft microfiber towels - its detailed at all times - lol - crazy **** Vette owner
I have to admit, I'm really old school (1950's) in the products I use. Never use the new products. Turtle wax and the additional products they make is what goes on all our cars.
I do the whole 2 bucket method with grit guards, foam cannon, chemical guys soaps, pinnacle sovereign wax, tornador black, and a sonax clay disk....to name a few.
Meguiars car wash soap and Eagle 1 Wax As U Dry for me . I can wash and wax in under an hour . Can be bought at any auto parts store or Walmart . No need for any fancy stuff for me .
My oldest says I have OCD, he may be right...
Optimum products (opti-seal, opti spray wax, ID), foam gun, two buckets, etc...
Although I used them on all my cars.
I've only been washing the Vette so far. It's due for a wax job. I've decided to not use Adams or any of the high priced products in favor of Turtle Ice. I tried it on our Lexus and was very impressed with how great it came out with no swirl at all. I'll let you know how it works on the Vette.
I use the expensive stuff on my Corvette and will use it every once in awhile on the other two vehicles, but to be honest my wife usually runs her minivan through the car wash and I don't have time or care as much about my Honda Fit. It is small enough that a quick wash and wax is easy but I am not polishing, claying, etc.
Pretty much the same as my others. Nothing very fancy or high-end. Two-bucket wash (if it's dirty enough), blow-dry, and final dry with microfiber towels. Maybe I'll hit it with detail spray as a finishing touch.
If it's not too dirty I take it to the coin-operated spray wash, then drive it home and finish up with detail spray or Griot's Speed Shine.
I keep all my vehicles clean. I wax them with Collinite #845 Insulator Wax when new and then just wash with car wash soap I got at Costco. The soap really doesn't matter as long as it is for cars, not dishes. For detailing I use many products like Maguires Ultimate Detailer and Griots Speed Shine. Lots of car detailing stuff around, California Water Blades, California Dusters, and my Toro 300mph leaf blower.
Mix all this with some nice weather, tunes and cold beer and all is well.
