Default Help with M2W

I installed the M2W switch in my 2014 Z51 and cannot get it to work
Read the directions twice and started........
Located fuse 41 and removed it
Installed the fuse tap into the empty fuse location with fuse 41 placed into the side of the fuse tap.
Located the ground stud and installed the ground wire.
Stretched out the antenna wire.
Started the vetted and followed the instruction to put the exhaust tone into "auto".
Tried the switch but no change in the baffles.
Any help would be great
Dick

I have a 2017, different fuse, but the install was pretty straight forward.

First, I'd disconnect and make sure you can hear a difference between how it is with the fuse in and the fuse out, just to confirm everything is working right to begin with, you have the right fuse, etc.

I'd then say if you have a volt meter, check the voltage on both sides of the fuse and/or visually inspect the fuse and that things are all seated properly. When using the meter, use the M2W ground connection as your neg lead for the meter so you know that is good as well.

That's where I'd start. After that, I might dip into the output side of the switch to see if it has power or not but that may mean poking into wires.

^^^ good ideas for sure. The first thing I would try is just remove the fuse tap and install it in the opposite direction. Just flip it around and see if it works. Kind of a long shot, but pretty easy!

Have you tried just pulling the fuse and driving it a bit to see if you can tell the difference?

Check your engine management. Might already be in track mode and probably not be much difference when you start it

Been there done that.......the 14's are much different than any later years.
The only time it really works is when in touring...the flaps have to be in the closed positon in order for M2W to work...in track and sport they are always partially open.
Mine and My friends went back...(both 14's)

The 14 NPP system isn't any different than any of the subsequent years. The only difference is the EMS menu, but in a 14, "Off" means valves are open in all modes most of the time. In order to tell that M2W is working in a 14 you need to have the ESM setting in auto or "mode dependent" and in Weather, Eco, or Tour mode to tell the difference most of the time.

M2W works as advertised in my '14. OP, If it's really not working in your car, I'm suspecting you may have a ground wire problem. The grounding point is hard to get to, and rather than loosening the OEM ground nut, I just put an extra nut on top of the stud.

All M2W does is turn power to the fuse on and off. It's just an electronic means of removing and reinstalling the fuse.

Went back and removed the switch and reinstall per directions.
Put the vette in touring mode and the switch works. Does not work when in sport or track modes
Thanks for all the replies.
