Default Ron Fellows School

I am planning on attending using my $1000 offer for buying the GS. Anyone know if they offer any discounts for a relative taking thecourse we would share the same room.

No discounts for the second driver, but if the other person signs up for the full school, you could have 1 room for 2 nights instead of 2 rooms for 1 night. I think it's $2500ish normally.

They are cool with that. Lots of wives there. Some husbands hanging while it's the wife's turn to take the course. One guy brought his family of 4 and they were cool with that too.

The wife can sit in on the classroom stuff and ride with instructors if she wants. Personally, I was far less comfy riding with the instructors, so I'd imagine she would only do this once or twice before she was over it. You're way more likely to get "seasick"when you're not driving.

Wife can also eat breakfast and lunch with the group, and use the other facilities like pool ect if she wants. There's also the lake Spring Mtn, which is essentially a super sized soft sided swimming pool maybe 3 acres. The have "tiki" bar ect, and it's a cool place to chill. The gf and I stopped back a couple months later just to have a few beers at the tiki bar and drive around a paddle boat...

I'm singed up to go in June and I ask my brother if he wanted to tag along as he likes cars, driving fast, and has participated in a one day Lexus driving school before. Would he be allowed to participate in things in the same manor as accompanying wives do. Sit in on the classes, do a ride along with an instructor, eat breakfast and lunch with the group?

Call them. My wife is on title (not sure if it makes a difference) and they offered a discount on the tuition if she wanted to drive. It wasn't close to being $1000 but if you add the $1000 + the discounted the price the combined total is WAY less than the price of buying two full price tickets.

They are having some summer specials too if you are able to go this summer.

So has anyone taken along someone other than a spouse on this event?

Cool, that's what I was hoping for. So it appears that the registered participant can bring someone along to share the room, join in the meals, and attend the classroom discussions. This is good and kind of expected. How would they be able to allow a spouse or significant other then say you can't bring a relative or friend in this PC correct world. I wonder what restrictions they might impose regarding the ride along with the instructor? 300 lb person?

Not sure how well a 300 pounder will enjoy a Corvette. I got my 300lb brother-in-law in my passenger seat for a ride. After I scared him, it was a real struggle to get him out of the car. 300 pounders really need the Ron Fellows Suburban Driving School.

I will be at Ron Fellows May 8-9. Cocktails at 5.

It would probably be a good idea to let them know you are bring someone so there is no surprises when you check in,,,I'm thinking that summer would be a slower season considering how hot it is in Nevada,,

I just received an email from Ron Fellows (Darci) and they are offering a discount on a second driver. They also have a promotion that runs through Sept. 15 for extra free night lodging and dinner for 2 . . .

Did she say how much the discount was? Was dinner included when it was only a one night stay and now includes dinner both nights? I assumed they only provided breakfast and lunch. Is dinner served at a specific time and everyone eats as a group or do you just show up and eat separately.

Thank you. So apparently a dinner is not normally included in the two day class but now they throw in one with the extra night's stay. That's a real nice perk for sure. I have no idea what the restaurant facilities are like at Spring Mountain. I'm guessing others here who have done the two day class have eaten there the night they stayed. Anybody care to chime on their experience?
