The design has definitely settled in for me. I chose this design over a January F-Type, Porsche Cayman S and a Maserati.
The C6 design didn't do this for me....

C7 has lots of subtle lines that you see differently in different light and different angles. It seems to change shape from near to far... very interesting design. Makes me start and mine all the time.
There are enough color options and black outs and body matching trim colors to make everyones C7 somewhat unique. Some unfinished business in the rear end ( not the tail lights ) like how about nice fins or more aero on the rear diffuser !

I was a little slow to make the transition from the C6 love to the C7 love. I now look at the two, and am dumbfounded at the advances made for the C7. The way the C7 squats to the ground and explodes when you put your foot in it, the complete lack of body roll around corners, the finesse of the interior, the gorgeous angular lines of the exterior, the multiple intense personalities of the car - at one moment the best commuter ever, the next a race track maniac. I love this car more and more every day.
I couldn't have said it better. I still turn around, and look at mine when I walk away. To me that's tells me I haven't grown tired of the C7. Like others I hope GM doesn't get stupid with the C8. If they do, I'll just stay with my C7. It's the best of the best Corvette designs IMHO.

I skipped a generation as well, C5 to C7Z. First time i saw the car I was hooked, I liked the tail lights from day one, was tired of the round tails. In fact that is why I did not get a C6, looked too much like a C5. I was close to a C6 once, but I said to myself, what if the the C7 is a hit, then the C6 would be last years news. I am glad I waited, cannot think what GM will do to make a C8

When I first saw the C5 it was love at first sight.
When I first saw the C6, I said, eh, to myself but grew to love it too.
When I first saw the C7 it was love at first sight... until I saw the rear end. Hated it at first LOVE it now.

No offense to owners but I've never liked the c5 or c6. C3 and c7 are my favorites
when I first saw the c7 in auto show pics, my first reaction was that it looked like a Ferrari.

^^^Have to agree. I never looked twice at a C5 or C6. Used to park next to a C6 everyday at work and never really did much for me. The C7 blew me away from the first look. I've only had mine for about two months but every morning when I walk out to the garage I stare at it as I walk out to my DD truck. Same when I get home from work walking back through the garage. I usually greet it with a "hello gorgeous".

I was never a Bow Tie guy until the C7. I was unsure about all the scoops, ducts, and vents at first, and had planned to get black for a more blended and subdued look. After a couple years I decided to get an AW Z06 to accentuate those features.
To answer the OP's question: Yes, I have been desensitized by the design, and while not yet dated, I am looking forward to the C8.

I love it. And I still love it. I'm in love with it. <3.

It took me a little while to warm up to the C7. I did not like the way the rear end looked cut in half horizontally, with the two tone colored panels. Made it look chopped to me. Then I saw one with all one color and the entire look changed for me. I owned a C6Z06 and it took a lot for me to even consider upgrading (for lack of a better term). Once the Grand Sport was released, and I was able to test drive one, I was absolutely hooked! This is easily the best sports car I have driven to date. My fourth Vette and the best so far.

At first, i was not a fan of the c7 at all and I bought a C6Z...however, my best friends dad has a C7Z fully loaded and for the past month I've had an itch to get a C7Z to add to my garage...I'm trying to hold off as I'm saving to buy my first house haha

The designers sure did do a good job with the C7, but I still think the C5 and C2 are great designs. In fact, I think there are models in each generation that carry on the Vette tradition very well.

I've wanted a Corvette all my driving life. They're beautiful automobiles and are the quintessential American sports car. One thing I did do though is promise myself that when it came time to buy I'd pass if the interior quality and form, fit, and finish were not improved. You don't have to search very hard to find stories of seat backs that don't lock in place, panels that don't mate well, paint issues, etc. For the most part, that has been corrected. Yes, we still don't get the same quality paint that an Audi, BMW, or Porsche does (referring to orange peel) but generally speaking the cars have come a long way. Couple that with the updated styling cues, the more powerful engine (I have the Z06/Z07) and better brakes and tires and you have what has to be one of the coolest looking, best driving cars on the road anywhere, and certainly among the best "bang for the buck" cars ever produced.
Happy...yeah, very. I've had mine for just under two weeks and I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.

My C6 didn't look dated until I parked my C7 next to it. I think the C7 will remain looking new and fresh until possibly the C8 comes out but time will tell.

I guess I'm in the minority. I didn't like the C7 when it first came out. It was an odd assortment of angles that didn't quite fit together like an Escher drawing. I'm still not a fan of the taillights and don't like the black valence on the rear end, especially on lighter-colored cars. The darker the car, the less noticeable it is. The interior, though, is great.
When the Z06 came out, I liked it better. At the very least it looked more aggressive than the Stingray, but the wheels are too busy.
What attracted me to the C7 was the technology and performance. I got a ride in a couple of them and finally test drove one at the dealership. That was the tipping point. When the Grand Sport came out my mind was made up.
I love to drive this car and certain aspects of the styling have grown on me. It has a killer profile and the aero bits on the GS and Z06 are cool. The wheels on the GS are much nicer looking than those on the Z. I still don't like the rear end all that much and I'm always surprised at the reaction my car gets. I'm a teacher and occasionally drive my car to school---when I do kids take selfies with my car. People honk and give thumbs up when I'm driving. I'm not used to that. My C5 was practically invisible.

I liked the design of the C7 from day 1. It grew on me from there until now I think it's an absolute classic, one of the best looking cars available at any price. With the engineering advances, I knew I had to have one. Absolutely love it.
