Skip shift eliminator

And a deer whistle will NEVER guarantee that you will NEVER hit a deer, but a CAGS eliminator will guarantee that you will NEVER be blocked trying to shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear.

And I can guarantee that I will NEVER be blocked trying to shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear without a CAGs eliminator.

Nope, wrong again Joe, if you wanna drive like a 95 yr. old in a Model T, just pull it into 2nd as soon as you start rolling . . . no CAGs eliminator and no blocked 1-2 shift.
And I assume you realize that 3K is nowhere close to redline.

lol. I've been reading here awhile, before I joined, and always enjoy your perspective...you're kind of a dick (I mean that in the best way lol), you cut through a lot of BS here. However, you do seem irrationally opppsed to such a cheap little device that provides such a nice little benefit. I always rev my car up and almost never hit skip shift but the once or twice I did made me angry enough to spend $13 to never hit it again.
But, it's all in good fun! Face-to-face, over a beer, we'd all be having a good laugh about this discussion, but on the internet people take stuff too seriously.

Fair enough, and yes, this subject does fascinate me, which is why I always jump in. I also enjoy a good debate, and I'm simply trying to understand why so many think they are so necessary. I just can't get there.

Every Saturday my grandfather would drive into town(12 miles) to get supplies and spend the day 'socializing' with his friends.
I can still see/feel him driving his 1948 Chevrolet pickup when he would take off from a standstill in 1st gear, get up to around 5 MPH and then shift directly into high gear(3rd). The truck would buck and snort, but granddad never changed his driving style. After all, he was saving expensive gasoline(at 16 cents a gallon in 1950-51).

I present both sides of the deer whistle argument in a PDF including a State Trooper with an opinion that they don't work, and professors who did deer hearing tests etc.
However I also show a long term, large test NOT paid for by deer whistle company that is compelling. Is is perfect-NO but better IMO than some state troopers subjective opinion!.
I am not saying anyone should add one but for $6, I did including on my new Grand Sport! I live on a 2 mile twisty road with homes and a lake on one side and mostly "deer haven woods" on the other. They run across like squirrels to eat our plants! Does the deer whistle help? I don't know but for a few bucks have watched as they stare at me as I drive by!
Here is this info from a county in Northern CA that ran a two year test!
"A report by the County of Modac California was paid for by the California Office of Traffic Safety (not a Deer Whistle Company!!). It involved a real world tests in a county with lots of deer and a previous record of many deer/vehicle collisions. Their method was simple. They advertised to give free deer whistles to as many who would install them until they reached the cars in the county. They only reached 1648 out of the 8300 registered vehicles in the county but that was enough to draw statistically sound results.
Summarizing the results: In a two year period from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2002 the cars without the Deer Whistles hit 29 Deer. Those with the Deer whistles hit none! Since there were more folks without whistles you would expect them to hit more. Using the ratio of cars with and without to deer hit by those without yields 1648/6652 x 29 there should have been ~7 Deer Hit by cars with whistles if they were not effective.
For statisticians, they used a chi square test which essentially says what is the probability that the whistles were effective versus the probability the results found were just a random occurrence. It says there is a 99.6% probability the whistles were effective and the result is not a random occurrence!
The whistles tested were 418 electronic and 1230 air powered. The air powered were two types. One of a type had one hole the other had two holes, called a Save-A-Deer (currently $5.95!)"
Foosh, no one is asking you to add one or accept this test info. I think it's better info than College Professors who think they are "Deer Physiologists" or a troopers subjective opinion from his limited observations (some stuff published on the Net) and that express a different opinion.

As the road signs say around my neck of the woods "Don't Veer for Deer".
