Anybody know the manufacturer of the CAGS eliminator...do they have a web site?
Just plug CAGS Eliminatior in Google!
Many vendors who offer for sale!
Southern Car Parts is one Forum vendor who has good prices and advise if needed.
PS: On my treadmill so just did with those simple words. Saw one for $10 on eBay advertised on the top of the page! Google is your friend.

You can buy the connectors and resistor on the internet and make your own. I think the resistor value may have changed for c7, so might need to verify.

I have discovered (with help from foosh and others) that the CAGS is completely unnecessary. Just rev it in first a little higher and the 1-4 shift never happens. I have one of these gizmos and I'm not going to bother to install it. It's just not worth the trouble.
. . . or just shift before 16 mph or after 19 mph.
In other words, if you love your current granny-shifting style, just pull it down to 2nd as soon as you start moving forward. If you're a little more "sporty," as any proper Corvette driver should be, run it up to a little under 3K rpm, which is not anywhere close to aggressive driving.

For a $20 item could be someone in their basement who doesn't have the marking desire or ability! They use the marketing skills of most Vette vendors who resell products made by lots of folks.
It's two plugs with one having a resister soldered to the wires!
Can't make much selling a $20 item! As you see from this Thread every time this subject is raised there are many posters who disturb a great many electrons defining why you don't need one! In fact, they spend more time typing than it takes to install one!
IMO the fact that it doesn't occur in normal driving is the reason I added to my 2014 C7 and last week my new Grand Sport when I had it jacked up to install ceramic brake pads! When I do get into bumper to bumper traffic don't want to think about when I shift! I use known forum Vette vendors like http://www.southerncarparts.com If I have a problem can call for advice! Not needed for this simple install.

Ha ha! Really? Getting underneath the car to install that sucker is not trivial unless you're all set up for it. I'm not. I've got one I won't bother to install because it's not necessary, but if someone feels this is a "must have" I'd be glad to send to him--if I can muster the electrons necessary to drop it in the mail. Or maybe i'll just throw it away--less trouble that way.
This light will come on when:
The engine coolant temperature is higher than
169_F (76_C),
D you are going 15 to 19 mph (24 to 31 km/h) and D you are at 21 percent throttle .
I found to just give a little gas and shift into second at 20mph or above and you never have to worry about the silly split shift.
When I do get into bumper to bumper traffic don't want to think about when I shift!
Jerry, you're a good guy, and I'd be pleased to meet you some day.
Come visit me in Washington, DC. I'll buy you lunch, show you what bumper-to-bumper traffic really looks like 24/7, and why a CAGs eliminator is just plain silly. I commute in my C7 M7 in nothing but bumper-to-bumper traffic, and I've never once seen 1-4. If you have to "think about" when to shift, well, I just don't even know what to say about that.
I'm not trying to be prickly about this subject at all, but quite frankly, I'm just dumbfounded and mystified as to what some are doing that makes them think it's necessary. I'd truly like to understand that, and why every time this subject comes up, you disturb so many electrons telling us why it is so necessary.

Thanks for the offer. Recall when I gave a talk in DC a few years ago, it took 2 hours to travel about 20 miles! Almost missed the plane!
I don't care what folks do, but when asked a question about how to install one, I provide the answer-it's that simple! As stated, I was installing brake pads on my new Grand Sport so when the rear was jacked up it was an easy thing to do.
Like the forced 1 to 4th shift eliminator, I don't expect I'll hit the "radiator supports" or skid pads as they are often called, but when I'm changing oil at 500 miles and the car is up on jack stands will install FANGS! Scraped (and dented) my C6 skid pads several times and installed FANGS on my 2014. In 3 1/2 years hit them once on a mall entrance and it was well worth that cost, no damage!
Found a very cleaver way to help provide some splitter underside protection, cone shaped washers. Talked to the manufacturer who said NASCAR is now using them on their splitters! Will put them on when I add the FANGS. Easy to do when the front is up in the air. Hopefully won't need either item but cheap insurance for some help as I see it!
One thing that can be guaranteed. If you install the CAGS Eliminator, you will NEVER have the computer block your shifting into 2nd gear from 1st gear, AT ANY TIME, OR ANY SPEED.
I don't see what the big deal is...it's like $13 on Amazon and guarantees you'll never hit it. I had the tech at GM put it in while he did my first oil change. I agree you can drive to never hit, but my wife will also drive the vette sometimes and panics when she can't get into second lol. If it was $100 I'd say screw it, for $13 seems like a no brainer.
(Now this thread can veer off in an entirely different direction).
lol. I've been reading here awhile, before I joined, and always enjoy your perspective...you're kind of a dick (I mean that in the best way lol), you cut through a lot of BS here. However, you do seem irrationally opppsed to such a cheap little device that provides such a nice little benefit. I always rev my car up and almost never hit skip shift but the once or twice I did made me angry enough to spend $13 to never hit it again.
