Very well written. Many people actually find it nice to have the Museum staff (and others) clap as you drive out, but it is a personal preference, no question.

John was my guy, too. I enjoyed him very much. I also noticed he always used a cloth to touch the car. He almost freaked when I went over and brazenly put my hand on the trunk before he knew I was his client for the day. It was pretty funny. He could hardly speak. Strange what we like and don't like. I felt no pressure at all on the merchandise. And the clapping? My God, that's what I lived for! I'd seen it happening for the last couple of years. It was surreal and totally cool and over so fast! What a send off! Otherwise you may as well drive it off the dealer lot. That will never happen again, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Another thing that was different. I drove 4400 miles back home and not once did I have another car challenge me or act immaturely. I kind of expected it, too, from what people have said here, but it didn't happen. I had a few Kia's pass me at 90, but looked like that was just the way they drove. Of course, maybe I was oblivious and didn't notice. I had one trucker when we were in a traffic jam lean down and compliment the car. That's all, but trucks on the Interstate--yeah, that's an issue alright.

Congrats on the car. It looks beautiful!
