Changing lug nuts
Can I change the lug nuts without lifting the car? If I change them out one at a time? I don't have a jack and I don't want to take it to a car place. I guess I could take it to the dealer.
Thanks

Used plastic bags for my C6 then bought this hard plastic lined socket for it, my 2014 Z51 and now use on my Grand Sport. Have used it for >5 years. Not cheap but works great.Difficult to find. Can only suggest look for pic in Google or Bing and click to page. Last I saw was on a Porsche accessory site.
Plastic Lined Lug Wrench. Note internal not often sold outside only! If concerned about the outside touching the wheel, wrap with a layer of electrical tape.

What is the inside made of?
PS: Just answered my own question! This is copied from Harbor Freight info on these lug sockets:
"The three-socket set, made by our friends in the independent Republic of Taiwan, includes 17, 19, and 21mm half-inch-drive deep lug bolt sockets that feature a soft plastic exterior sheathe to protect the paint in the recessed area of alloy wheels, where your lug bolts live and work. Despite the price, these sockets appear to be very well-made of chrome-moly construction, and they fit tightly on both ends.
Bottom Line: These HF sockets (many sell the same type) have steel that is in contact with the lug. I had used plastic bags over the lugs in my '93 and '88 Vettes. Got about 2 lugs before they wore a hole! Lots of bags. Bought the one I referenced in post #9 when I got my '08 C6 so ~10 years taking Vette lugs off! The inside is made of a hard rugged plastic. The outside it steel but never found an issue with the socket hitting the wheels. If I felt a need would just wrap it with electrical tape.
