If you get it fixed by the dealer report back on this thread how it turned out and what they did.

My 17 GS has a hint of this I hadn't noticed it until I read this post. Neither my C5 or my C6 had something like this. They both had other problems, it looks to be where the top is attached to one of the bows. Could possibly be just a slight difference in top tension when closed.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking.

Personally, I would think a video of the top being lowered and raised might be helpful.
It might not be, but it could be, like evidence on the C6 that the window was hitting the tonneau.

Mine has something similar running across like yours does. It also has areas that look "shaved" where the fabric has a different feel to it and looks different. Reminds me when my landscaper cuts our lawn and he makes a pass along the property line between me and my neighbor. His grass was likely cut a week or so before as we are on different schedules so his grass appears taller and uneven next to ours which is freshly cut and the same height. That's how these shaved areas appear. My top is also very wrinkled. Which has been getting exponentially worse since I've been driving it more with the top down.

ZenicaPA.......Given the tear in your top, GM should definitely replace it.
My local dealer is slow getting back to me. He says GM has not said anything. I pushed up on the center rail from inside and it did help a little. I could probably fix it myself by removing the center rail and bending it back, but why? The problem is, clearly, the wrong bend in the center rail. I don't know if it is just a defect or something fell on the roof. Thankfully, the top itself is not damaged.

The service advisor was told by the regional GM rep that the indent is normal and GM will not replace the top. Obviously, I'm not happy with his response. Because I didn't buy the car from the servicing dealer, they won't go to bat for me. GM's customer service is horrible. Whatever. I'll just fix it myself.

No way. You have to talk to the rep. Has he seen the car or was he just told about it. I have had four verts and not one was even close to that. That is a defect. Find out when the rep is coming in and arrange a meeting with him. Thats horrible.
