I have a 2014 C7 convertible, base model (no Z51 option) and it just now developed a problem. I have 11,680 miles on the car and have never had any issues with the car. This is Corvette #7 for me and I love it.
Here's the problem .... Yesterday, I'm driving down the highway and turned the "Driving Mode" **** from 'Sport' to 'Track' (it was a beautiful day and I had the top down and wanted to hear more exhaust). The exhaust got louder and the steering effort increased, just like they always did, but the center instrument panel display and the HUD display didn't change to the Track display showing the track tachometer, gauges, etc. I called the Corvette tech at my dealership and he just went "uhhhhhhh, got no clue, I'll have to scan it?"
Anybody else out there experience anything like this ....... ?
Thanks, Mike. How do you 'sync' the display modes to the driving modes? Is it outlined in the manual?

Yes, although the track mode display is somewhat uninformative and most people set theirs up in Tour Mode even when on track.
You can also setup the exhaust so you can stay in Tour Mode and still hear the Track Mode Exhaust.
Go to Settings on the Center Display to set up Sound and Steering and go to the info screen (using the steering wheel buttons) for the DIC to select link display to driving mode or whichever display you always want presented.
You can have your display set in a fixed mode as you can with the exhaust sound and steering effort regardless of which driving mode chosen. For instance I have my display on Sport, my exhaust on Track and my steering effort set to change with different driving modes.
Sounds like you have your display set in the Track. Take a look in your owners manual and you will be able to change the display settings.

Mike .... Just did it. All is right once again!! Now for the tougher question...I never knew this menu existed, so how did it get changed? I'm the only owner and do the majority of the driving (my better half won't touch anything but what she has to for driving the car)?
Thanks to everyone for you comments and help.

I honestly don't know. I've heard of it happening before, and I never heard a reasonable explanation for why. Lots of software to debug and bunches of electrons zipping around, and my personal experience is that sometimes they have a mind of their own. I'd just chalk it up to a learning experience.

Yep, no issue with it at all, you can find it in the manual. For instance I keep mine on the track display at all times no matter what drive mode i"m in.

Have you had any recent firmware updates or recalls completed that might have caused the battery to be disconnected? If so, either of those can cause settings to be changed.

No. The last time i drove the car was about a week ago and everything was okay. Then when I drove it Wednesday, I saw the display change.
I'd like to thank everyone for your input and help. This forum is a great tool and the folks that post on it are fantastic!
I have a 2016 and try to keep the display in sync with the driving mode. But a couple of times it has defaulted to a continual tour mode in the display even though the driving mode selector still works to change the exhaust settings. I just have to go in to the select setting as outlined above and reset it. No other feature looses its settings when this happens. Just computer glitch I guess.
However, that is chosen by using the HUD switches on the left side of the IP. I have mine set up with the bar graph tach and rarely look at the IP instruments since they are hard to focus on and take too much time to read. On a long straight without any cars to pass I will let my eyes wander over the oil pressure and oil temp read outs next to the digital speedo.
