Default First trip of year on I-20

Did a tour of washington state yestrday. Drove up to State Route 20, across the mountains, and back. Fabulous fun with the top off the whole time

Beautiful! Had the top off, huh? Windows up, thermostat set on hot as hell and the blower set on crowd pleaser. Kidding, of course. Looks like a wonderful place to enjoy a Corvette. I'm envious.

Also... wonderful shine on that Vette. Beautiful.

Beautiful drive. Does SR20 run concurrently with I-20 there?

Well both roads go west to east, but 20 is approximately an hour north of 520 (Which is near my home)

One of the smoothest rides in the area. The road was only finished in the mid 80s

Hmm, I-20 starts on our town in Eastern SC and goes to TX. Think you can make the trip without any stop lights! What is that white "stuff?"

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. But I live in the south and have to ask, what's that white stuff all around.

Of course not. Washington is I-90 territory. I-20 is very far south. Even numbers are east west. Odd are north south, so I-5 is a low number and (just about) as far west as you can go where I-95 is as far east as you can go. "Interstate 1" is in Hawaii! I-20 goes from Texas to South Carolina.

3-letter interstates are even, e.g. I-405, which represents a spur AROUND a city connecting to I-5 at both ends. ODD numbers, such as I-705, is a spur INTO a city that stops and doesn't come back out. There are two "I-405" highways, one in the LA area and one in Seattle. There's just one I-705 which goes into Tacoma from I-5.

We took our LBR vert into Port Townsend yesterday. Beautiful day for a drive.

Did I have gravel jumping up and hitting my car while I was driving, none that I was aware of. However I did not have a camera measuring the amount so I am unaware. Sorry also not aware of whether they put down gravel in the winter. I am sure there is a website where they list that, just not something that I know.
