I had the panels originally painted off the car, and based on color code only. I was confident this would match, as this body shop has done this before for me with a new front fascia. In person, other than the new panels being slightly shinier, the paint matches perfectly. The shininess will be taken care of when I get the paint correction done. (which involves buffing the paint, polishing, then applying quartz coating to prevent future swirl marks.)

That being said, paint blending should always be done with the panels on the car, because blend paint not only goes on the new panels, but onto your existing panels as well. I.e. to blend a fender with the door and hood, all three parts get blend paint around the seams.
I agree body shop was suppose to do that to my car they painted piece by piece looked different it's back in the shop it's being completely painted. 🙄

Great job - very nicely done and clean - thinking of doing this to my Stingray but unfortunately I can not find Z06 aperture panels and front fenders - trunkmonkey shows discontinued also you mentioned Rick at subchevy is that dealership in Minnesota ?

Hmm bit confused contacted subchevy and they say the doors are different - makes no sense as you did not change the doors

^You certainly don't need new doors.

When I was doing my build, many of the part numbers were discontinued, but Rick @ SubChev found the replacement/updated part numbers and set me out everything I need.

Finally broke down and had Emblems Pro whip me up a set of badges, I just didn't have time to make some myself. Perhaps one day.

Attachment 48355880
Attachment 48356975

I'm incredibly still waiting on C7Carbon to ship my CF spoiler. Customer service over there has been utter crap, my calls and emails go unanswered for weeks, promises to let me know of any delays have continuously been broken, promised dates are never met. I'll likely be making a complaint thread at some point (which will also likely go unanswered), but for now, stay away.

Wow, simply beautiful. I usually shy away from sticking on this or that from another model, but have the utmost respect for people like you. No bits and pieces here, you took a car and redid everything to make it truly one of a kind. Well done my friend.

Very nice. Were you impressed after the ceramic coating / paint correction? We had it done on my dad's Challenger and the results were stunning. It was pretty swirled up, so it made a huge difference in reflectivity.

Yes very impresssed! The paint was really good as it was freshly painted and polished by the body shop. The detailers fixed a few spots and applied the coating now it really pops

Not really sure, we spend a lot of time jib-jabbbing, admiring our work, taking photos, etc. Had we not, I'm guessing we'd have it done in about 8 hours labor for two of us. Maybe less. This doesn't include time in the paint shop, nor time waiting for the epoxy/urethane to cure.
