GM built 3 Admiral Blue with Red interior cars in 2016. Two of them were ZO6's and the other was my Z51 convertible. I will traded it in the next couple of years so I won't keep it long enough to see.

Default Weird color combos...

IMHO, there are some really UGLY color combos listed as produced. Use to be that GM had a department that double-checked dealer orders for color combos. A friend of my parents in the late '60's wanted to order a Buick in yellow with blue interior and GM wouldn't build/paint it until verified and signed off by the dealer.

Even if it is "rare", probably not going to make any difference in a single person's lifetime.

If you want a rare car that is not worth anything, there are lots of those.

I have the only black Z06 with Z07 package and M7 in my whole garage and when I trade it I expect to get retail value for it.

Manual Corvettes in dealers inventory are getting to be rare, Convertible manuals even more so!

Looks like the Z06 guys/gals are a little bolder with the colors.

I do wish Chevrolet would offer a custom color option for Corvettes like Porsche and others do. The Corvette group gives the excuse that the mirrors come in pre-painted. Well, then paint a few mirrors at the plant or have a nearby supplier do it for you for the custom color orders. I think custom colors would be very popular if reasonably priced. Porsche charges $5500 for the Cayman (closest priced model to the base Corvette). Porsche is always high on options prices, so let's say Chevy charged $3000. I do that in a heartbeat.

Or, if they wanted o keep it simple, they could offer custom colors with Carbon Flash mirrors only. It will be interesting to see if custom colors are offered once the new paint factory is 100% online, given that it will have much more color capacity than the current one.

Excellent idea! They could do that with the spoilers, and any other trim pieces that would otherwise use body color.

Unfortunately, Corvette team has already said they will not be offering custom colors when the new paint shop comes online.

Having purchased many cars over the years in all colors of the rainbow, I don't think the color of a car makes all that much difference because people are pretty fickle about that, unless the exterior-interior color combo is just plain weird. I'm quite sure some of those rare color combo cars above may be pretty impossible to sell. There's a good reason only a few of those combos were built.

DSOM w/ red interior makes me a little nauseous.

If you want to see some wild car colors, check this out. The manufacturers (and buyers) were much more bold than they are now. They had some great colors then.

60's Star Colors

Also in those days Pontiac would paint your car with a custom color for $100.

I remember all those colors, and I'm fine w/ bold exterior colors. I like them and wish they were a little bolder on the C7. I've owned some wild neon greens and oranges myself.

I was talking about the interior-exterior color combo of some of the "rare" C7s you listed above..

I know that rare colors don't make the car worth any extra, but I still enjoy being unique. Back in 1998 I ordered a brand new Firebird Formula in Blue Green Chameleon and was happy when I found out at the end of production for that year that only 124 cars were made in that color. But when I traded it in, all of that meant nothing. But I still enjoyed having a unique car for the time that I had it.

Default '60's Colors...

I remember a lot of those colors in the '60's. In fact, "Saddle Tan" was my favorite color for '63 and '64 Corvettes. In those days, Cadillac had a line of paint colors called "Firemist" that were really deep and very metallic--but not with big flakes in it like the customizers' "Metalflake" or "Candy" paints. When I bought my first Vette in 1969, it was Riverside Gold with saddle tan interior. I had a stripe painted on it in a Cadillac Firemist dark brown (I forget the actual name of the paint color) in a style similar to the Baldwin Motion cars. I thought--and still do--the gold/brown/saddle looked really good.
