Default Targa top problems

I searched the forum, but did not find any previous discussion.
I had the "creaky top" fix done a year ago and no problems since.
The top has not been off since last summer. Recently a loud rattle was soon followed by rushing air sound while moving. This was from the driver's side of the attachment of the targa top.
I removed the top and found this piece extremely loose. It moves up and down about 1/4 inch. I saw no easy way to tighten.
To the dealer on Tuesday, but wonder if this is commonplace or not.
Thanks,
Wally

No problems with mine. The rubber grommets on the posts attached to the top sometimes like to get stuck in the receiver holes (the ones in your pic). I just pop them out and slide them back onto the posts on the top and all is good.

It would appear you have a loose striker. The header trim piece has to be removed to get to the striker bolts. When the dealer did the creaking top fix, the bolts weren't tight enough. If the car is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer. Otherwise, read the Forum posts on how to remove the trim piece and DIY.

The header trim pieces pop right off using a plastic trim tool. This will give you access to the mounting bolts which are probably loose.
