Also, if the vette is 2014 or 2015 then he'd have to get an iPhone as Android Auto didn't become supported until 2016.
Finally I believe that he said he doesn't use a smart phone and I get the impression that he doesn't want to start using one either...
Really? Aside from the fact that I can see no use in running two nav systems going to different places, in my car running AA if it's navigating the factory nav will not have an active route. If you switch to the factory nav and program a route then AA's route will stop. IOW you can't run both systems even going to the same place! Bummer because I thought if I did run both, going to the same place, I would have turn by turn in the HUD and the better looking Google maps on the big screen.
Is it not factually correct that you can download maps for offline usage in Google Maps? Yes it is. Has this fact been mentioned many times (by me and others BTW). Are we all ungentlemanly to say this? Is there no redeemable characteristic in doing so? How many people may have learned this fact, are able to take advantage of it and thankful? Is it ungentlemanly in your world to mention facts that some find useful?
Is it wrong to report that many people with iPhones do not like Apple Maps? The media even said it. Are they ungentlemanly too?
Should I not mention that 2014 and 2015 vettes lack the hardware to run AA or be considered not a gentleman?
Was I a brute to suggest that having two nav systems running at the same time in your car but going to different places has, to me, no real use? Was I wrong to relay that when I've tried that it didn't work?
You sir have an very odd definition of what it is to be a gentleman - one that I certainly do not agree with and one that I suspect many others would disagree with too. It seems to me that your definition of ungentlemanly is person (in this case male) that says something that you don't agree with. You must lead a charmed life!
