First my ipod (which worked great in my ATS) wouldn't work right, so I got rid of it. I got a new iphone with 128GB so I could put all of my music on it.
Now, Carplay is really cool. I get my texts read to me and I respond with my voice to send a text. Great. As far as my music, only half of my play list shows up on my screen. Same with albums, only about half show up. It also doesn't show any of the contacts that are on my phone.
Before you say the issue is with my phone, we just got my wife a 2018 Equinox and my phone works perfectly with Carplay in her car.
Has anyone run into this?
Try deleting the phone in the Mylink system (I would also delete the phone in the CarPlay settings on the head unit too). Next delete the C7 Bluetooth connection on your iPhone under Bluetooth settings. Then reboot your phone, And add the phone back into Mylink from scratch. I was having some odd issues and inconsistencies and sine doing the above it has worked flawlessly.

I'm going to have to give this a try also as I'm having the same issues with my iPhone. I always assumed it was a safety deal and they were holding our hands for us.
