Help - Bluetooth Question
Recently got a new Kyocera DuraXV flip phone to replace my old LG Revere3. Was easily able to pair it to the car's bluetooth and it receives and can make calls in that mode.
My problem is it does not recognize any of my contacts so I am unable to use voice commands to call specific contacts. If I receive a call it says "contact unknown" even though the contact is listed in the phone. I did not have this issue with the little LG.
I tried disconnecting and re-pairing without success in getting the car to recognize my contacts. Any info or suggestions are welcome, (no I will not get a "smart phone").

It is certainly possible that while your new Kyocera supports receive/answer phone calls over BT, it may not support address book sharing via BT. Or, perhaps it is just a model not supported by GM's BT stack.
Bluetooth capabilites are not an "all or nothing" package. Almost all modern smartphones support most features, but clearly not *all* "unsmart" cell phones.
The file formant with that phone isn't supported. iphone, Android, and Windows phone only.
I think we have a winner. I've got basically the same LG flip, and it's a no go with my contacts. It doesn't even work with the wife's SYNC system in her Mustang. But, her LG smart phone works fine in both.

My LG Revere 3 flip phone worked fine with it. All my contacts were transferred and both GM Infotainment service and Kyocera verified the phone supports sharing of contacts via bluetooth. I have no idea what to do.
