Default non npp exhaust

Looking at buying a 2014 cat back npp exhaust off of craigslist for $250 that has 20k miles on it, I believe it will all bolt up to my non np system, my car is a 2016, really not wanting to spend the $1500 to go aftermarket, factory is fine with me, how hard would it be to wire a switch for dual mode do you think?

Should be simple if you just want to turn it on or off. You need A+ power, in-line switch and a fuse or circuit breaker. You will probably be able to get the wire routed along side one of the wire harnesss.

Pretty hard. The NPP valves are not simple on-off switches. See this thread for some more info:

So if I install the npp exhaust without any wiring and the valves are open and stay open all the time, would this possibly be annoying at highway speed, I want sound but nothing too loud

First thing is whether the $250 exhaust comes with actuators. I'd guess no at that price, unless the shipping is insane. If it does and the shipping is not insane, buy it immediately and figure out what to do with it later. It will simply be open by default, which is how lots of people on here run em anyway. Anyone know if you can get an "NPP in a box" kit for C7s?

It's not bad. My dad has a switch in his car and I thought it was acceptable running open at speed. I've left my NPP stock for now...

I have the fuse pulled so the valves are open all the time. Not really loud at all under normal cruising. You can hear it faintly on the Interstate but not at an annoying level. When you get on it, it will bark pretty good but you have to still use the throttle pretty good to make any significant noise.

For $250 I'd put it on and not worry about wiring it up, just leave them open. Corvettes were not really made to be quiet. If you like really fast and really quiet, those Teslas are the thing. Seriously fast but I like the noise as much as the acceleration.
