Default C7 for C6?

Has anyone ever sold thier C7 to buy a C6? I have been thinking about doing this for a while. I am looking at built C6Z, or GS. If you have done this please tell me weather you regretted it or not. My only real hangup is the interior of the 7 is so much nicer than the 6. As for the way they look, IMO the C6Z and GS are just as good looking as the C7. Thanks.

Why not just build your C7?

Have you ever owned a C6?
If not, then you probably haven't been in one enough to appreciate how far superior a C7 is in most every way - the LS7 in the C6 Z06 might be the exception to that.

I am considering it as well. I'm tired of my "nice car" and my "track car" being the same. Because it would mostly be a track car, the terrible interior wouldn't bother me.

^^^ Just wait for the ZR1 then!

RVC, you said the C7 interior is too nice. Can you elaborate? I don't see how this would be a deterrent.

What I meant to say was that my biggest problem with getting into a C6 over my C7 would be the downgrade of the interior. I love my C7 interior, not so crazy about C6 interior.

I loved my c6z, but I wouldn't go back from my 3LT interior to that condom-like interior.

I owned a C6 for nine years and now a C7. After owning both the only C6 I'd even consider going back to is a 2013 427 convertible and it would have to be Supersonic Blue, blue top, and 4LT.

Pretty much what I was gonna say only different color scheme. I'd sure love an Inferno Orange 427 vert. I dunno if I'd give up the C7 vert to get one though.

Nice C6'c can be had for penny's on the dollar these days. Heck, if you can swing it buy a C6 to build the way you want, and keep that beauty of a C7.

Disclaimer: It's so easy for me to spend other peoples money.

C6Z06 class action suit
C7Z06 class action suit
take your pick

A C6 normal and GS motored versions would be desirable because they are NOT direct injected motors. your read on direct injection motors:

http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/n...ines/index.htm

How did GM solve the direct injection motor de-coking the valves issue?

They reduced the powertrain warranty from 100,000 miles to 60,000 miles.

Problem solved for GM.

It's interesting that BMW, and Kia issued a useless TSB. You can put all types of additives into this gas, but if the gas never touches the valve stems (as it is in these engines) they will never be cleaned. At least that is the way I understand the situation. I don't worry about it much as I'm sure I won't own this C7 any longer than any other Corvette's I have driven. There's always a new Vette around the corner don'tcha know.

I do think it's holding me back a little bit. I think I would be consistently more aggressive in a c6 dedicated track car

I had 2 C6 -- a coupe and a GS. Loved them both, but I'd never go back to a C6 after owning my C7 Stingray -- I wouldn't even go back for a C6z, as cool as I think they are.

I would not go back, but Mr.owc6 would.

He much prefers the C6, and I much prefer the C7; it makes for marital bliss.
