I am trying to get a 2017 stingray 2LT or 2017 Grand sport but I am really struggling with myself on this because I don't know how reliable these models are. I heard there were issues with the 2015 to 2017 corvettes. I don't want a car that breaks down so often. Any insight will be appreciated.

I hope my recently purchased 2017 Grand Sport is as reliable as my 2014 C7 Z51! Only back to the dealer twice. Once when I first got it to have the dif fluid level checked per notice from GM-it was fine.
The second time was for a seat belt software update! (I do my own oil changes.)
Expect the same from my Grand Sport. There are some issues with the 8 speed auto! Suggest getting the M7 as is my Grand Sport (and 2014) no problems and you'll love Rev Match! You also won't have to live with the car going into 4 cylinder mode unless you select ECO-I never do.
As JerryU stated, there have been altogether too common troubles with the automatic (the A8) in 2015-2017 model years. Other than that, there really haven't been any reliability issues other than the occasional things that can happen to any car.
My 2014 Z51 with the M7 tranny ahs been absolutely trouble free.
Concur with previous statements. Just ensure you get one with a warranty and don't worry about the "What if" scenario. It oftens drive people crazy. Worrying is like a rocking chair - It will keep you busy but get you nowhere.
