Wanted, and got, the navigation system w/PRR. I won't be tracking the car but the PDR could be useful for recording trips. I have a GOPRO and have used it to record trips to Carlisle (
) which has a much higher resolution than the PDR. The PDR is much more convenient to use, though.
All in all, I'm happy with the purchase because the nav works great and is more convenient than using the CARPLAY.
Should have said I don't see tracking the car.
Can't see valeting the car often, close to never.
Could come in handy if getting serviced.
Nav on my phone is fine and $1800 in my pocket seems better.
Appreciate the comments.
I have it on mine. Other than the initial figuring it out and such it has proven totally useless for my purposes. Tho like others said it is good for resale to someone who may want it.
BTW, it only will record 100 minutes of video as that's when the vid file reaches 4GB (32 bit file size limit). It doesn't tell you it stopped recording, either.
So there you have it. Those who have it are recommending that you get it and telling you the reasons why. Those who don't have it are telling you not to get it and the reasons why.
As of today I wish I had the PDR, thought I did when I purchased the car but that was its twin next to the one a purchased. Oh well, I hope I can trust the detail guy!
I use it on the street alot. I record my 0 60 runs, 1- 100 runs and just recording when having fun with other cars. Money wise there are probably alot of things you will get with the car that are really not worth the money but you get them any way. Its a cool feature just like the HUD, the vented seats, the brakes. lol.
