Thanks for the welcome back, and I apologize for the bass-akward pics. It's an Apple thing, happens when I email them sometimes too. Thanks Dave, for straightening them out!
Also, thanks to all for confirming that I wasn't missing something in the menus for the front camera dimming deal. I also have a CTS-V wagon, and I can set the backup camera to stay in daytime mode, regardless of what the auto headlights are doing. Kinda surprised the Vette has no setting for this. The tech in the Corvette is otherwise lightyears ahead of the V.
Let me try another glamor shot, and see if it is right side up this time...
Welcome to the Twilight Blue Design Package team. Stunning combo. Mine is Silver with Twilight Blue. For all its worth, mine is 1 of 22 built in my configuration

Thanks Man. When I saw the car, I knew I was going to buy it before I even had a price. That blue interior and soft top just blew me away. Icing on the cake was 3LT, Mag Ride and Dual Mode Exhaust. It only had 7700 miles on it. Dealer said it was a trade in from an older couple that couldn't get in and out easily. I thought it was just a "Little old lady from Pasadena, that only drove it to church on Sunday" story.
Once I got the OnStar set up, I found the previous owners password for the 4G hotspot was his phone number. I called him, sure enough it's an older gentleman. Said he has the outdoor car cover for it, and I'm more than welcome to come get it.
I'm very pleased, and thanks to all for the compliments!
Dave, time for photo's with the Atlantic ocean.....come on now...!
Copy that! I've never seen the Eastern Seaboard, but it's on my bucket list. Pictures and descriptions I've seen are stunning. I retired about 18 months ago, so there are many road trips in my future...
"1) leaving garage: Before and during startup hold the light switch in the bottom position (See arrow). Do not let go until car starts. Headlights should stay off."
I have a '14 C7 and this is how I keep the headlights off both starting up to back out of my dark garage and to pull in front first.
1) leaving garage: Before and during startup hold the light switch in the bottom position (See arrow). Do not let go until car starts. Headlights should stay off.
2) before entering garage: with car running momentarily hold the light switch in the bottom position (see arrow) until there is an indication on the dash that the 'Auto Lights' are turned off. Pull into the garage.
P.S. Beautiful C7
Thanks for the advise, but it didn't work. The headlamps stay off, but the camera still thinks it's nighttime, and dims the camera display. I did find that if I crank the interior dimmer all the way up to max, it's useable. Just surprises me that GM didn't give us an option to leave the camera in daylight mode...
I'm slightly new here too, how is it that your car has a blue interior ? Was that part of a special package ? Do you have pics of the interior ? Great looking car by the way !

It's part of the Twilight Blue Design Package. It's a 3LT car, so the dash gets some blue leather as well, and the top is blue. It also includes polished wheels, which I have always preferred over chrome, or painted. Thanks for the compliments, I love the blue as well! I don't have a really good interior pic, but here's one from the web, mine is identical.
Finally figured out the parking, btw. I have my Road Glide parked sideways in front of the Vette. Once the red line on the parking camera hits the tip of the center stand, I have about 6" until it gets expensive. So far, so good...

Beautiful Vette! Jealous of the awsome, scenic roads you have to travel. I live in Miami. Very few scenic roads w/o heavy traffic and concrete to enjoy. Enjoy!
My first thought is how did you manage to park your C4? Second thought, place a tire stop on the floor of your garage a safe distance from the front wall. Myself, I use a flat landscaping stone. Roll up to it until you feel the stone. Third thought, welcome to the C7 forum and congrats on your new Vette!

Reason: Spelling
C4 was in a storage unit, and rarely driven. That's not happening with this car.
I've got about 6" to play with (get your mind out of the gutter) so if that stone slips it would get expensive. I've gotten use to the camera, and have reference marks on the floor that line up with the camera grid lines. It's all good now, and parking is a non event.
Thanks! Love the tech, comfort and power of this car!
Just joined the forum today. Bought a 2015 Z51 convertible that is same color and wheels as Dan's. Only difference is that calipers are red. I'll be trying to figure out how to post pics etc.
Easy fix to this is to override the auto headlights.
The problem is the car senses the drop in ambient light and kicks on the headlights, dimming the dash and displays.
The simplest fix without messing with dash settings everytime is to give a quick twist to the headlight selector on the turn signal counter-clockwise (away from you as you sit) to turn "off" the headlights lights temporarily and the dash lights returning to full on...

Very cool, and welcome to the forum!
Is your interior blue? From what I've read, the polished wheels were only available as part of the Twilight Blue option...
