New Old Guy...
Hey Fellas,
Although I joined a long time ago, I haven't been around much. So much so that I had to have my password reset. I just traded my beloved C4 Collector Edition Roadster on a very gently used 2016 3LT C7 roadster. It was tough letting go of that C4, but it was time for a change. Pics attached of the new sled.
Quick question: When I pull into the garage, my lights turn on. This dims my front camera to the point that I can't see the screen. My garage is tight, and I kind of need that camera. Is there a way to keep it in "daylight" mode? I tried manually turning the lights off, no effect. I also can't find anything in any of the cars menus, that would allow the camera to sty brighter...

Wow, is that pretty! Great photos, even if a little askew (LOL). Love my vert--it's up and down 3-4 times a day.
Regarding the lights, I know exactly what you mean. Happens to me too, but never found an alternative.

Normal on my iPhone but I've seen it happen before. Nice roadster in Nevada no less. Lots of nice, empty roads in your neck of the desert. You should cruise over to Spring Mountain and check out the action. Great drive to boot through the beautiful mountains over to Pahrump.
A Corvette convertible in Las Vegas at night? Perfect. Enjoy that car.

Have you tried backing into the garage? That way headlights won't affect your front camera. My backups have yet to blind my rear camera.
Beautiful rag-top!

Glad you're back.
Don't have an answer re the cars lights but perhaps what I did to have a spot light come on when the garage door opened would be easy to do and solve your problem.
This is a PDF of that device: http://netwelding.com/Narrow_Garage_Device.pdf
Basically,
1) Remove the bulb in the garage door opener light that comes on for about a minute when the door opens.
2) Buy a screw-in bulb socket with a 110 plug receptacle that screws into the garage door bulb socket.
3) Replace the bulb with a low profile LED-there are some that are very short
4) Use a short extension cord with a bulb socket on one end, or wire one on and plug it into the light bulb receptacle.
5) Get a broad beam LED spot light to light up the area in front of the car.
I wired mine to a light the passenger side garage door trim when pulling in at night! Built it while I waited 3 months for my September 2013 C7 to be built. No info on the distance between mirrors other than it was wider than the C6, which I had and was a close fit! It is wider but have no problems pulling in so that spot light was not needed! Easy to just install a spot pointed to the front of the car.

He just needs to open the photos in an editor, rotate them 180 degrees, and resave them.
I have never heard of a way to bypass the ambient light sensor either.

Thanks for the welcome back, and I apologize for the bass-akward pics. It's an Apple thing, happens when I email them sometimes too. Thanks Dave, for straightening them out!
Also, thanks to all for confirming that I wasn't missing something in the menus for the front camera dimming deal. I also have a CTS-V wagon, and I can set the backup camera to stay in daytime mode, regardless of what the auto headlights are doing. Kinda surprised the Vette has no setting for this. The tech in the Corvette is otherwise lightyears ahead of the V.
Let me try another glamor shot, and see if it is right side up this time...

1) leaving garage: Before and during startup hold the light switch in the bottom position (See arrow). Do not let go until car starts. Headlights should stay off.
2) before entering garage: with car running momentarily hold the light switch in the bottom position (see arrow) until there is an indication on the dash that the 'Auto Lights' are turned off. Pull into the garage.
P.S. Beautiful C7
