I can't get my seat memory to work automatically. I have memory turned on at ignition, and easy exit turned on. I know how to save the memory using the save button together with the #1, 2, and Easy Exit buttons. I own a Cadillac CTS and this is a similar process. Sometimes if I press and hold the #1 or #2 button after ignition the seats will move to position or move part way to position.
Is there something I can do to reset the system to see if that will correct the problem?
There is a young lady on U-Tube (sorry I can't remember her name) but if you look uo set memory seats on C7 she will show up. Her vid is very easy to follow and sets you up in less than 2 minutes.

Memory seats has been discussed numerous times on the Forum. That said, what MY do you own?
FYI. GM sent an email , as well as a mailing to owners regarding this.

Ginger. Thank you kenownr and others that assisted so quickly. This is a great forum.
Just an FYI for anyone who experiences a similar situation...the memory functions are in fact affected by which fob is being used. Your preset positions will only be reached if you're using the correct fob at the time.

YES, that is exactly what happened to me, I followed the directions and even watched the Ginger video and the memory seats still did not work properly. I then switched fobs, reset the memory positions and all is now well, I then added a small marker on my fob to denote which is fob #1 for the future.
Seemed that I had lost the steering wheel exit movement (happened on my C6 too), but this clear & simple video was great to get everything the way I wanted it. (I do read manuals, but this was so quick!) As long as I was in the car, had to go on a cruise. Love this awesome car!
When I first got my C7 a couple months ago, if I press the engine start without pressing the brake, the seat would always move from full back (easy exit) to driving position, then I would press the brake and the engine start button to start the car. For some reason recently in the last couple of weeks, the seat wouldn't move forward and I'd have to start the car, then press the Memory 1 button, but then that would take a few tries to move my seat forward to the driving position. Has this happened to anyone else?
