Default Wipers nested setting?, programming remote?

Anyone have any info on what I need to do to get the wipers to nest in the correct position when shut off? I had to install a new wiper arm assembly and have adjusted the wiper so that they travel the correct sweep--cover the whole windshield, but now when I turn them off they return down to the point where their final resting point should be but they then move up to about 3" above that poin (at the very bottom of your line of sight)?????
Key fob--I'm trying to program a new key fob--have followed the directions but the DIC does not show the correct statement when doing it (open trunk, turn key 5 times within 10 seconds, you should see a DIC message that second or third for is ready to program, then insert new fob into steering column). Any ideas? This is a vert which had been in an accident prior to my buying it.
Thanks for any help!--Tom

The wiper arms should be adjusted in the park position. Put some water on the windshield, turn on the wipers for a swipe or two, shut them off, let them park and turn off the car. Now is the time to adjust the wiper arms, lift off the spline and adjust separatly and set them where you want them. The right side (passenger) can be set lower than the factory setting and hides behind the hood a little rather than a inch above it.

Default wiper arms adjusting

Thanks--the problem is that I have the wipers adjusted so that their travel covers the entire windshield but when shut off, they travel to their downward most position and then move upward about 3" as their final resting place. This weekend I'll try adjusting the operater arms and see if that is the cause. This is a salvage car that I have just about ready for the road and I need to get this fixed.

Let me see if I understand you, when you shut the wipers off, the arms/blades drop close to the park position and then rise up 3 inches? Something wrong there for sure, maybe the position the wiper linkage is attached to the wiper motor or the park position inside the wiper motor is broken? When the wipers are on a continuous sweep, do they travel low enough before they start to come back up? It would seem the sweep of the blades would not be right.
