Hey all, so I am in the dilemma of buying a used 2015 C7 stingray with 2061 miles, WITHOUT the z51 pkg or the 2LT option. it is a 2015 stingray with 1LT with see through roof, performance exhaust, and 19x10 front and 20x11 rear Forgestar wheels. The owner wants $45k for the car and I've never owned a corvette before. I am a huge European car guy, and currently own 2016 F80 M3, 2013 F10 M5, and a 2016 Jeep GC as our family car. Is it a good deal or should I just pass? I will put an anti rear sway bar and upgraded front sway bar from aFe. Lastly, I plan on putting on kooks headers and midpipe along with diablo trinity. will these three mods make the car faster? is the diablo trinity "somewhat" like a COBB or a JB4? Anywho, never planned on buying a corvette until I my coworker desperately needs to sell his and thought it might be a good price for what it is. Is it worth it for what it is, or just pass? Thank you for your input. (if I don't get it, I am not interested in an Z06 or other corvettes.)

Why pay $45k for a used and modified car when you can get a new base 1LT for around $48k?
But, unless there are more options on the car than NPP exhaust, top and a 1LT package (wheels don't count unless they're Forgeline, HRE, etc.), that's a very lightly-optioned, base car. Therefore the only plus on it is its low mileage. If you've never owned a Corvette before, maybe it's a good "entry level" for you to test one out for awhile. But, it sounds like you're a Euro perf guy.
Therefore, as said, if you want entry at a low cost, and to modify (which may/will get you no return on investment when you go to sell unless you find the particular buyer who wants the add-ons), then a 1LT is the way to go. If you want more handling to begin with, look for another car or expect to modify this car more than just sways. And the price itself is not low enuff for the year or equipment IMO for any area of the country incl. CA which tends to be higher new and used in many cases. All jmo.
With the BMWs you own I don't think you'll be happy with a base stingray. It's not going to be faster than what you have and the interior isn't nearly at the BMW level. I just got rid of my 16 M3 and getting into a Z06. However I'm only interested in the performance aspect.
Seems like $45k is circa 25% below the car's MSRP given the options mentioned. You probably can do a little better since low mileage '16s seem to be going for that type of price-to-MSRP discount. For reference, a local dealer had a '16 base coupe stingray, 1 owner, low mileage, nicely optioned - that was 30% below MSRP...didn't buy because of color. Agree with the others, for not much more money you can move into a new car. There are good used deals out there...just a little harder to find given the new car discounts/incentives available.
OP The only issue I can see with that 2015 is the price is too high for a 1LT base car. I'm guessing this is a private sale from the original owner. In 2015, they probably paid close to or at MSRP. By 2016, the demand for new Corvettes had diminished and discounts became common. Now in 2017, 10 to 12% off new Corvettes is easily obtained. So the seller is in competition with brand new cars but may not realize it. A private sale base 1LT, 2015 should be around $40K. Look on Autotrader or Cars.com, should not be too hard to find an asking price at a dealer for around $42K. Just sayin'
