Pulled the trigger. Let the wait begin.
After realizing I would not be able to have the self control to keep the Camaro for an "appropriate" amount of time before getting into a Corvette and with other goals set for myself over the next 4 years, I realized the best time to jump into a Corvette and not affect those goals would be now. If the numbers work why not?
I couldn't find anything on dealer lots to my specs sadly, I would have loved to take advantage of the 12-15% off some dealers were giving for vehicles on the lot but when your spending this kind of money why settle to save yourself a few thousand and start to regret it after.
Here are specs:
-2LT
-Torch Red
-Adrenaline Red with two tone seats
-Carbon fiber Instrument Panel
-Carbon Flash Badges
-Carbon Flash Mirrors
-Carbon Flash Hood Stinger Stripe
-Black Satin wheels with Red stripe
-Automatic
-Red Calipers
-Red Seat belts
-Transparent Roof Panel
Spring can't arrive fast enough!
What I'm curious about is are orders actually being accepted into the system at this point or did the dealer just accept your deposit and will officially enter the order once they open up again? I'm surprised that they say it's going to take that long from order to delivery. As you know I'm in the process right now too but I am still in the preliminary stage until my salesman comes back from holidays after Labor Day and I put down a deposit and sign the paperwork. But when I told him I actually preferred to get my car in May, he seemed to think that if the order is placed soon it will end up arriving well before that time (around February perhaps) and then they would just hang onto the car for me until winter is over. They do have a large allocation though, being Canada's #2 Corvette dealer so maybe that's the difference between them and your dealer's estimated arrival? I think I would have a hard time having the car delivered in February and either having it stored there or even bringing it home, knowing that winter still has a ways to go before I could drive it on a regular basis.

I think that once you get it, you will agree that it was more than worth the wait to get the car equipped exactly as you wanted it. Looking forward to pics too!

She's going to be a beauty! Sure, the wait will *almost* kill you, and then the break-in period will drive you crazy... but after that... LOOKOUT!!!
