The Owner's manual for my 2017 GS states that the turn signals will flash for 3 cycles if the turn signal lever is "bumped" up or down.

Turn and Lane-Change Signals
An arrow on the instrument cluster flashes in the direction of the turn or lane change. Move the lever all the way up or down to signal a turn. Raise or lower the lever until the arrow starts to flash to signal a lane change. Hold it there until the lane change is complete. If the lever is briefly pressed and released, the turn signal flashes three times. If more flashes are desired, continue to hold the lever.
My car does not seem to have read its owners manual as it does not do so. Anyone have this problem and is there a secret way to have this work?
My 2017 Grand Sport works as advertised. Normally called a "lane change feature" and I use it all the time. Try bumping a little harder but not enough to actually turn on the signal.
Works great on my '17 2LT Stingray. The flash to pass activates before the lever goes over the detent that holds it in place for a full turn signal. I push and hold it just against that detent without going past.
I have had this feature on a few cars, mainly Toyota/Lexus vehicles. The Corvette works about the same, brief bump and 3 flashes. Honda has the best system where the side mirror camera view shows up on the info screen, very good idea I wish the Corvette had.
For those of you in New York State it seems they didn't even install turn signals?
Well I decided to disconnect my negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes and connect it back up. Now the the lane change signal flashes three times when I use the feature.
Had my cruise control stop working in my C6 a few years ago, and did the battery trick back then and the cruise control started working and never had a problem after that with the cruise control.
Mastering the 'bump' is tricky. I still can not consistently do it each time.
But since three flashes is not really long enough unless you are lunging into the other lane, I just press it up against the detent and hold it there until my lane change is complete. Usually a lot more than 3 flashes.
The stalk has a "detent" if you pass the detent it stays "on" if you just touch the stalk downward and let go before hitting the detent you get the 3 flash signal.
