$43,750 on the "Pre-Bid". Have to pay $200 to register for the "Live Bid"...

I tried to find out and the manager of the auction site could only tell me that it sold between $45,000 and $50,000.

hmmm, I could buy brand new GS like this one for 56k, or totaled one for 50K with non repairable frame, and other damage that will cost 7 K. Ohh it was produced in 2016 and has 8000 miles. What should I buy????
Please do not say for each his own. If buyer joins forum, his nick should be Bargain GS or Idiot

Your pricing is true if someone wanted a base GS with decals, but there are some option differences. I believe the chrome wheels would drive the price up a little, and mine was a 2LT and had Nav/PDR, which together adds a few thousand.

I am not saying that the price paid wasn't high. I feel it is more than the car is worth too, and it makes me wonder how much the bidders and buyer knew about the damage.

Untill this car is propperly repaired( its not that easy), its only premium Bose music hall with ventilated and heated seats, and camera on it. The ebay GS is True sport car, with standard Bose and seats. I would choose sport car rather than music hall.

Last year friend of mine bought 2015 audi A8 for 25k. Salvage, front airbag deployed, cooling good, hood bent and left fender. Frame ok. Repair cost about 20k. That was reasonable. This vette was reasonable up to 35K. After that it was comedy

Just for some additional information, a source I found says he believes it sold for $47,000.

^^^

May depend on the State as to how easy it is to get the salvage title in a shape that makes it easy to sell.

If you look at my later posts on this thread, it appears this frame member with a “minor crack” IMO, could be repaired in under an hour by a skilled TIG welder while on a lift. The member has a large bend that goes over the two exhaust pipes and looks like its main function is a front transmission support. A quality TIG weld should make a simple satisfactory repair. Better than removing the MIG welds on both ends and replacing and rewelding the whole member! To get access to do that, you would have to take a lot of the rear end apart including the glued down rear tub!

That assumes whoever bought it is scrupulous and doesn’t just use a little Bondo and paint!

Can't believe someone paid that much for it.

I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the title gets washed, the crack never gets repaired, someone ends up driving it for the next 20 years, and never knows it happened...

could it be a lot? rocks and road crap could randomly hit the frame points, so maybe that that rare?! I was thinking this was a rare case.

So frame/car would be fine if you just drive it normally? would you feel anything different.

heard a loud bang at the bottom of my car yesterday, got me worried a little bit, I should check the undercarriage.
