I'll jump in if Nate doesn't mind. It's a metallic tint coast like what you see with Long Beach Red.

I've been told by 2 people that if you take Hugger Orange from the 60s and made it metallic, you'd be pretty close.

^^^^ Can't wait to see this matched up with the Carbon Flash Z06 trim and aero package + black wheels. Although I've never been an orange guy, I'm just glad to see a new bold color introduced for the Corvette. We've had enough grays, dark blues, dark reds, etc.

Definitely got the metal flake in it in the second picture. Could be a great color. Got my interest going. A bright cheerful color. Much better than the various " Honda Grays " that some people rave over IMHO.

love to see this and agree it will look great with the carbon flash & black wheels! I was hoping they would come up with something bright and metallic like Inferno Orange on the C6, this looks like it could be close. And I'm not exactly an orange guy either.

Whether I would get it or not I think it is a good move and hopefully the first of many brighter colors. Everyone keeps saying Corvette needs to attract a different demographic. Well, this is what has to be done. Cadillac drab colors don't cut it when people like grabber blue and neon green. Surely the new paint shop will allow a wider variety of colors. The light metallic treatment is beautiful in person. I have an LBR and it's an eye-opener in the sunshine.

I agree! Reminds me of Inferno Orange which I've been anxiously waiting to see on the C7.

The color palette of the C7 is overall fairly dark, many folks have been wanting to see some brighter colors and this hits the nail on the head!

Hugger Orange was an awesome color! It was Hugger Orange on the Camaro, and Monaco Orange on the Chevelle, Elcamino and I believe even the 'Vette. It was the same color with 2 different names. I believe the 69 Chevy Camaro Pace Car was white with Hugger Orange stripes.

I really like that new orange! The metal flake will give it a nice shine. About time they came out with something different! I hope they continue to come out with some stand out colors. I loved all the 60's colors, mostly the Dodge/Chrysler ones: Plum Crazy Purple/In Violet, Sublime Green/Lime Light Green, Panther Pink/Moulin Rouge, Hemi Orange/Tor Red, Top Banana/Lemon Twist, Green Go/Sassy Grass Green, B5 Blue
Even today Dodge has some cool colors. Dodge: Furious Fuschia, Detonator Yellow, Toxic Orange, Top Banana, GoManGo, Plum Crazy, B5 Blue, Copperhead, Sublime.

I'm glad Chevy didn't put any metal flake in the black like Dodge/Chrysler did though. I did not like that at all. I would like to see a dark purple, darker than the black rose now...would be very cool!

That's one of the primary reasons I loved DSOM. I've only had my AW GS for a couple weeks now and have already seen an AW Z06 and two AW base models, just on my route to and from work. Even if they aren't popular, it's nice to have some non-standard colors to choose from.



The pic below shows my previous and current DD. If I could click a button and swap the colors I would do it in a heartbeat!
