Default Sciatic nerve and Carlisle

Well, you wait all year for it to arrive - looking forward to seeing friends again, and
3 days of pure hell! Couldn't take walking any more and had 3 sleepless nights. Bummer - there's always next year. Left Sat morning

On the plus side, my 2014 C7 Z51 ran like a champ with no problems at all

Feel for ya bud, Sciatic nerve pain is the worst. Getting out of car I had to stop and grab hold of the door window and wait for the pain to subside before stepping off.

Fortunately was able to adjust C7 seats so driving was fine.

Getting old ain't for "wussies".

Bummer. I've had similar problems lately. What I think I've discovered is that I don't have the pain if I sleep in a reclining chair vs a flat bed.

As a long-time back pain sufferer, I feel ya.
Sometimes a chiropractor can help.

Taking your wallet out of your back pocket helps a lot with that problem, especially on long(er) trips.

Keep stretching those hamstrings, it'll help to prevent it from coming back.

You're not alone. I regularly stretch to stay ahead of mine. Sorry your trip was spoiled, hopefully you get to try again next year. Knock on wood, but my sciatic has been behaving since I got my '17 GS. I'd go crazy if I could not drive it.

OP...I feel for ya and understand completely! I too am going through the exact same thing. One wrong twist or move and the lower back pain can be intense.

Keep your hamstrings and Piriformis stretched. Look/Google sciatic nerve stretches etc. Maybe if you sit down every so often at Carlisle or during the road trip you'll be able to do it next year.

To you and all you old folks here-Nothing is more important as you get older than staying as active as possible!

Hope you feel better! I had to miss Carlisle this year but I'm getting myself in shape right now for next year! It's a 15 hour drive for me from Florida!
Can't wait!!
