I placed an order for a new Vette on August 17, 2017. I understand the Vette assembly line will be shut down for a while. Deliveries are usually 6 to 8 weeks. Anyone got an idea when might I expect delivery?

Plant is shut down until around the end of October/early November. GM has said they will start taking orders 9/13. Production startup will be way below past production levels. Since the factory floor has been rearranged and assembly process is different, expect initial production to go through a quality hold of at least 2 weeks, possibly more. New C7s will probably start hitting dealer lots around late November/early December.

Given the lower volumes and pent-up demand, I wouldn't be surprised if we see allocations becoming an issue again, at least for a while. So, is your dealer a big volume Corvette dealer? If not, you could be impacted by lack of allocations.

Strictly conjecture at this point. Time will tell.
