Bets of luck to all those in Florida! Park those votes in high level parking garages and get out if you can. I know from going through multiple hurricanes including Hugo in charleston sc. that getting out is not always possible and impracticable with pets and such, safety in numbers and lots of good planning is key.
My mother-in-law and two brothers-in-law (as well as their spouses) all headed out of the Port St. Lucie area for a country cabin type of resort in Georgia. My brother loaded up his 5th wheel and headed west (maybe Arkansas, haven't heard from him since he left and he wasn't sure at the time).
I genuinely feel for the great number of people who either physically, financially or otherwise cannot leave and must ride it out.....
I'm up in Tally and it is going to be bad even this far North. Unfortunately I can leave yet. I work for a major Telco that services the state agencies.
From those of us in FL, thank you all for the well wishes.
