Android Auto Issue
When I first started using AA I would plug in my phone and start the car. The AA logo would appear on my screen and I would touch it and AA would start by bringing up a map. After a recent update of AA and adding Waze maps, I now have to start AA on my phone first, then plug it in to get it to load the maps. I tried messing with the AA settings on my phone but nothing seems to help. This is not a big deal and I can live with it but just wondering if others are experiencing this same condition. BTW, my phone is a OnePlus 3T. Thanks.

Wish I could help Randall, but I'm in for an answer as I am quite technologically challenged. The wife just got a new phone. I haven't tried it yet with the AA so I may need this info.

I use AA all the time as I really like Google Maps and the ease of using voice commands to navigate and use the phone. I can deal with having to turn on AA before connecting the phone. I'm thinking it may be related to the update that added Waze. Good luck with the new phone.
