There is adjustment built into the unit.
Super easy to correct.
Loosen the two air-box bolts on the fender as well as the hose clamp on the intake tube that connects to the throttle body.
Pull the air-box back towards the firewall and retighten the air box bolts, then tighten the hose clamp on the TB. This will give you the clearance required for proper fit.
If you have any questions just give me a call 832-701-7700 and I will walk you through it.

Damn I _just_ finished putting it back to stock. I honestly think it was a height issue anyways. Either that or the hood strut bumping up against the latch of the airbox. The sticky foam broke too. So, no going back. I mean, your basically telling me to loosen and pull?

YES, Loosen and Pull.
That will provide the clearance from the hood strut mount.
Happy to send you another piece of strip foam if needed.

This gap, it's normal? It renders the latch nearly irrelevant.

Thanks Taz. I think I remember you from when I had my Cobra. You were a ball buster then too. Time goes slow when your hood is all effed up. Gain a few rwhp (20 unlikely) along with a misaligned hood? Cost benefit just didn't make sense. I'm obviously willing to revisit.

Dude, you definitely have it mounted way too far towards the front (nose) end of the car, and its probably hitting the hood strut. Just loosen and slide it back towards the cockpit...
Use my pic as reference.. The height of the airbox should be flush with the top of the foam piece as shown.

As VR said just said it was mounted to far forward. Loosened it up and pushed it back and it worked fine.... got to take it out and ran it for about 45 miles and it made a difference....and then put it away for the winter...

When do you expect to release the C7 Z06 system?
I am currently using a stock CAI with a Tony Mamo throttle body on my 2015 A8 Z06, will this affect your CAI?
thanks
George

I imagine you have more than an oversized TB on the car.
No , it will not affect it , the system was designed to handle stock to 1000+ horsepower cars. I am sure you will have to Re-tune it, since you do not have a stock car.

We are trying to get as many Z-06's in our facility as possible to test final development parts now. We have to verify ECM variations from year to year, auto vs stick etc.. . Once we green light everything it takes a couple of weeks to ramp up production. Holidays just always slow things down.
We are on it !!

Default Been a cold and long winter already!!!

Don't know about you but we are ready for spring time like now!!!
This winter has seemed longer and colder than usual! Want to get outside
and wash the vehicles and feel a little sun on the face! Hang in there - it won't be long!!! We are continuing to develop new units while we are stuck in the shop! Get your tax returns filed and have that extra money for fun stuff!
