I didn't make it past Morro Bay because of the slide at Big Sur and time constraints. We usually take Hiway 1 up into Oregon.

We tried to go down the Coast Highway from Monterrey in January and it was closed back then. Good thing we didn't try to wait for it...

I talked to a local at Morrow Bay and was told it would be another year before the road would be open through Big Sur.
